there is no reason for the gap in quality between drone and parrot

it gets to a point i stopped using the cactus drone altogether

it is very very wobbly and hard to control the aim sensitivity is higher and jumpier then the parrot the fire spread is wide and random while the parrot is pinpoint accurate and solid

the air strike has little meaning while using on moving targets the only use for the cactus drone air strike is using it inside a garden when its already messy and hope you get something in the mess.

but you cant use it vs a player due to the delay. on the other side the parrot gets surprise kills you are dead before you can react by the air strike.

while playing the pirate i will use the parrot even more then i use the normal fire and i get around 3 kills on each parrot use

when playing the cactus i no longer use the drone at all unless i have a damn good reason to use it

while you play against random kids you can manage with the cactus drone but when you play against harder opponents the gap becomes clear to the point cactus drone is not viable

there is no reason for this to be like that

in GW1 i never noticed a quality gap between and engineer drone and cactus drone

and it worked just perfect

each time i play i make a number of decisions one of them for example is i try not to play on plants side on great white and cant play cactus if the zombie team is anything other then kids i try playing this game and each time i quit because some design just makes it not worth playing

edit" also the hitbox difference is much in favor for the parrot
as you see in the video the cactus drone works best if you come up close into the zombies face then the spread is less of an issue
but even a chemist can take my drone down.

with the parrot i can headshot from across the map

The reason most of the reason comes from pea gaitling have less counter and rose's homing destroying them too quickly

  • While I don't saw much difference between cactus drone and parrot primary weapon. Parrot airstrike and health clearly need a nerf.

It pretty much the same thing with plant teleporter having less health then the zombie one.

I'm sorry, but since when does the Garlic Drone suffer from bullet dispersion? Whenever I play with it, it has perfect accuracy at any range, even while flying weird maneuvers.

It also does deal more damage at any range. Furthermore, you're underestimating the Corn Strike. The Corn Strike is designed for massive destruction on multiple stationary targets. It was designed to take out teleports and huge pushes in GW1, is still effective at doing this, and can be used to support pushes, scare everybody out of the Graveyard to allow your team to push, taking out groups of stationary Deadbeards, or nail down a mech. In your gameplay, you presumably use it to kill an Imp or the Scientist, which leaves me wondering how you use Cornstrikes, as they aren't designed to take out single targets. That's the job of the Artichoke Drone. The Drone also works against high skill players, they are just more likely to destroy it because they can aim and it is very fragile, but if you fly in unpredictable zigzag motions while rapidly changing altitude, even the best players will have problems to hit your Drone, especially Deadbeards. And the Garlic Drone has some hotbox issues to. You usually don't realize it because it is very fragile and can be taken ou fast, but with low damage characters like the Hockey or Golf Star, you can notice this. I'm not saying that their shouldn't be any changes to the Parrot, as it completely outclasses the Artichoke Drone, but it can't be compared to the Garlic Drone, as they both serve different roles, with the Garlic being a fragile target ruling a lot on the skill of the pilot to deal massive damage to crowds and cleaning an area and the Parrot being optimized at seeking out single players and taking them out.Does the Parrot deserve a nerf. Probably yes, since it outclasses it's direct mirror, the Artichoke Drone (or we buff the airstrike of the Artichoke.) But does it outclass the Garlic? No, they fill different roles and if you need pure damage and destruction, the Garlic will be better. And for the Chemist, flying right in the face of a Chemist or Zoologist is stupid, just like flying into the face of a Fire or Power Chomper. Their is no point in doing it when you can just stay away without them touching you.

P.S: Drones in GW1were different. The Zombot Drone dealt less damage than the Garlic, making it less effective at killing people with shots.

    well look again

the cactus drone has wide spread shots that hit a bit differently with each shot and are less effective far from a target

and the parrot has a laser that hits the same spot with each shot  and i also think it might have a faster projectile speed

but the main issue is the feel of the cactus drone it has higher sensitivity and is harder to control and aim with at the same mouse settings you use for the parrot

i know how to play the drone

this video was just a random few seconds to talk over about the drones

and the parrot is not designed for single target an air strike inside a garden could take out multiple plants no problem

its designed to do both single target AND multiple targets because of the instant deployment

while garlic is limited because of the delay

when you get down to it you will perform better with the parrot taking out any plant you lay eyes on

while the garlic air strike and normal fire and control are all on a lower level then the parrot

who cares about roles its flat out worse then parrot

and a cactus is flat out worse then a pirate

edit" also the parrot is more easy to aim due to the color of the laser shots its like a pure line that is visible to the target you just place the beam over the target

the garlic shots are almost invisible you do not get that help while aiming in the form of a solid line from your drone to the target

other then that i dont know but it feels like the parrot has a tiny splash or something somehow shots land more easily

if you shot both garlic and parrot into a white wall you will notice the impact marks of the parrot are larger like the actual projectile is larger thus making it easier to hit the target

all i know is the garlic takes much more effort to kill with and you will get much less kills with it compared to the parrot

    @YT-mantisisrael

I've done some testing in the Background Battelyard, and I tested the bullet dispersion of the Garlic Drone. I've destroyed about 40 turrets and shot a friend a couple of times and I can conclude that the Dtone doesn't have bullet dispersion, but it suffers from misaligned crosshairs. The shots hit somewhat lower and on the left side of the crosshair inset of the middle. This doesn't have any impact from mid to close range, but it reduces effectiveness at long range. The Garlic also suffers from a slight control problem that causes it to permanently fly up/down when standing still, further reducing accuracy. The best way to destroy a long ranged target is to attack it with a dive attack, as this will negate the control problem, and if the target is in your hit zone, the Garlic is 100% accurate. The misaligned crosshair is still an issue, as it makes aiming harder. The Parrot doesn't suffer as much as his projectile is bigger, just like the one from the GW1 Zombot Drone, making it easier to hit long range targets.

On a sidenote, I still disagree about the airstrike. The Eggsplosion only kills multiple players if they are in the middle of the airstrike, as it deals very low damage on the outside compared to the Garlic, which covers a bigger area with more devastating projectiles, at the cost of deploy time.

    good info

yes i also tested it more and its true the garlic wont spread on his shots

but in reality the control is more sensitive then the parrot so it translated to me as a wider shot spread

and yes its true the point the shots are coming out of the garlic is a bit strange

overall when using the parrot i feel in control of a devastating tool and using the garlic i feel like i am fighting a broken tricycle or something trying to go straight while having sticks in the wheels

I know its not a perfect alternative but I find I have more success with the artichoke drone.  the rapid corn husk bombs seem to be more reliable, the cross hair seems to be better aligned, and it has more health.
