Time park 2nd objective hard for zombies

If the Zombie teleporter is on the right side of the map (from a zombie perspective), call it gg.

There's many reasons that this teleporter location make it really hard for zombies to win.

Plants' spawn is very close to the teleporter, which allows them to get faster to it than the zombies.

There is only two ways for the zombies to get to the teleporter, one is the "easy" way, which is going through the second floor of the cave. And the other is by exiting the cave near the plant point and going around the wall that separates the cave from the teleporter; this very dangerous as you come near the point which is guarded by plants, so this approach is not very effective.

But the "easy" way is not that easy. Zombies have to go through a choke point, so there is no way to surprise attack the plants that are guarding the teleporter. And plants know exactly were the zombies are coming from.

Plants have a little building that provides them cover, though the worst is that they even have a bench that they can climb to get on top of the building, giving them an advantage point from which they can suppress the zombies from building the teleporter.

I am not complaining because I want things to be easy for me. But there's is a significant difficulty difference between having the teleporter be on the right than on the left side of the map. Also, this point should not be that hard to capture considering it is the second one.

I would suggest for popcap to make more ways to get to the teleporter, maybe tunnels, or a high window from which a foot soldier can give cover to enginengs, maybe get rid of the bench that allows plants to climb the building.

  • usually when I play everyone goes to the right side as zombies. few go through the left or middle. Once there are like 3 people on top of the dinosaurs you mostly win. Most of the time nobody builds the teleport.

    The harder part is rome because the plants have so many snipering spots and they tend to aim at the two bottom entrances and the top they just hide behind the ramps which is hard to aim as as a zombie. 

  • I've commented elsewhere that the maps seem, subjectively, to have a noticeable number of choke points compared to maps in GW1.

    Add the tendency for fighting to concentrate around one of those points and the fact that a lot of players will get stuck in a cycle of getting vanquished at that choke point only to respawn and throw themselves back into it and what you have is a meat grinder.

    Part of the solution is to recognize that your team is at an impasse and break off from the battle to seek out an alternate route to flank the opposition or, less favorably, respawn as a different character class which might be able to break through the choke point or service in it long enough to get others through.

    And sometimes the Teleporter just isn't worth the effort.
  • I wouldn't say it's that hard. It only seems hard because  A) people never tend to help the engineers with the teleporters and B) People forget that there are 4 different routes that the zombies can take 2 of which provides decent amoount of cover and get you rather close to the capture point but very few people take those routes

    This is honestly probably the hardest point to capture in the entire game.  When I'm a zombie it feels like nothing really works, when I'm a plant I feel like all I have to do is get on a dino's back and just shoot any zombie.  My respawn is so close to the point that it's pretty easy to get back in the action as well.  Also I feel that after this point the zombies have it rough.  Zgypt is very tough, and I think Azia is very tough as well.  Not to mention the very last battle.  This map needs some tuning so the zombies stand a chance.

    I also feel that zomburbia is very tough for the plants and could use some tuning.  especially the second and final points.
