If the Zombie teleporter is on the right side of the map (from a zombie perspective), call it gg.
There's many reasons that this teleporter location make it really hard for zombies to win.
Plants' spawn is very close to the teleporter, which allows them to get faster to it than the zombies.
There is only two ways for the zombies to get to the teleporter, one is the "easy" way, which is going through the second floor of the cave. And the other is by exiting the cave near the plant point and going around the wall that separates the cave from the teleporter; this very dangerous as you come near the point which is guarded by plants, so this approach is not very effective.
But the "easy" way is not that easy. Zombies have to go through a choke point, so there is no way to surprise attack the plants that are guarding the teleporter. And plants know exactly were the zombies are coming from.
Plants have a little building that provides them cover, though the worst is that they even have a bench that they can climb to get on top of the building, giving them an advantage point from which they can suppress the zombies from building the teleporter.
I am not complaining because I want things to be easy for me. But there's is a significant difficulty difference between having the teleporter be on the right than on the left side of the map. Also, this point should not be that hard to capture considering it is the second one.
I would suggest for popcap to make more ways to get to the teleporter, maybe tunnels, or a high window from which a foot soldier can give cover to enginengs, maybe get rid of the bench that allows plants to climb the building.
