Toxic Flower?

Hey, just wanted to get some opinions on why there hasn't been a Toxic Flower variant added to PVZ GW2. Maybe Popcap has it lined up for the future, or maybe they think a Toxic Flower would be overpowered.
Personally it think if they balanced it right it could be a great character. Right now the only variant that does continual damage is the Fire Flower. Because of that I think Fire Flower is one of the best if not the best flower.
However if you get surround at close range your main weapon becomes less useful. I feel the added Toxic proximity damage would remedy this issue, and since Flower classes don't have splash damage she would'nt be to OP. Thoughts anyone? PopCap I hope your listening! Lol

  • Sounds good enough. Already Toxic Chomper and Toxic Pea, maybe toxic variants for Sunflower and Cactus in the future?

  • The Alien Sunflower comes pretty close to being a Toxic variant already with her Spore Cloud which creates a pretty large cloud of spores on impact for Area of Effect damage and that cloud lingers possibly the longest out of any cloud effect since you only take damage by being in it or passing through it.

She doesn't have a Toxicate ability for close proximity, but neither does the Druid Rose, but you could approximate the same effect by simply firing into the opponent who happens to be in your face or into the ground in a pinch to surround yourself with a cloud of spores.

You guys are right, I forgot about Alien Flower. She might be the answer I've been looking for. I'm personally not a fan of the burst fire sunflowers, I always fell somewhat limited. I think for that reason I've avoided Alien in the past. Though the area affect damage will be great for close range. I still think a Toxic variant would be great, and not to close to the Alien. However there definitely is a variant with good close range attack. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Personally, I don't want anymore variations for classes with plenty of variations already.

Rose, Imp, Super Brainz, Cpt. Deabeard, Kernel Corn, Citron, Hover Goat 3000 and Stumpy Grumpy all should get variations before anyone else, due to these classes having fewer variations.
