I really like this new content so far. It could use some adjustment but that's to be expected. I'll go over what I found last night playing solo and with a couple friends on PC.
The bad (luckily not a lot that I found):
-Twice in the mystery explosion matches my framerate dropped to a slideshow and my PC is very powerful and never had this issue before. I've had lag but never this. It reminds me of when we all got BF:1942 years ago and one friend had a sub-par PC and had to upgrade to make it playable. It did fix itself over time but it got extremely bad for awhile. Once was on Frosty Creek and the other was on Sandy Sands.
-I only opened the 50 rainbow star chest so far so need to earn some more to open the 30 and 10 but instead of a key I got a new peashooter hat. Not a terrible result but really want the keys and again it didn't show up upon opening so had to go check. A minor issue but would love to have it fixed and perhaps the keys could be more common.
The good:
-I really liked the explosion matches. The extra onus of having to deal with the fact that you have to contribute or explode was amusing and being to use that to explode next to the enemy for some extra vanquishes was quite fun. I look forward to the other mystery matches.
-Opening the large gnome door and exploring within (no spoilers) was interesting and I liked the new decorations I found within. I really want to open these doors now!
-Rux's store is another nice touch and makes me glad I've been saving coins for some time. The legendary hat and the infinity time items for sale was a nice touch. It may be a bit too pricey even if I was able to afford it, but I'm sure you'll get a lot of feedback on that.
The wishlist:
-We really need more areas to place decorations! I only have the one epic (the Sunflower lighthouse) and only a few small ones in each base. The backyard battleground could use an expansion anyway; it's a living breathing mini-world that begs for more areas to explore, more adversaries to fight, and more places for decorations! We really need at least 1 or 2 more epic spots and a few of the small ones.
-More maps: especially another G&G map as we only have the 2. Whether bringing back the old maps (I really miss some of the old map aesthetics) with balance tweaks or brand new ones we could really use more maps!
-Of course we need more class variants and I keep hearing rumors about new classes to fill in the empty slots in our bases. The obvious variants of Ice Pirate (like the movie), Frozen Corn (freezer isle) top my personal list. I'd love a frozen and toxic sunflower too!
Overall a big thumbs up for this new patch and look forward to more in the future.
