I'm overall quite happy both with the new updates and the game in general. When it launched it had some serious technical issues but the lion's share of those are addressed now. Some still exist but it's good to see the most glaring problems getting dealt with.
Balancing a game with so many characters (over 100!) isn't easy and since the game uses asymmetrical factions that makes it even more difficult since unlike TF2, Battleborn, or Overwatch, the teams do not have access to the exact same characters. The game is more balanced than it was but I expect we will be seeing more balancing in future patches. A lot of the community complaints are related to balancing and it's a crucial aspect of a competitive team-based shooter like this game.
I was surprised that the old Cacti got nerfed since one would feel that the variants from GW1 would be close to the median performance level at launch, much less this far along the game's cycle of release patches. I was glad to see Breakfast Brainz get buffed though.
Adding more stuff to the backyard battleground is always welcome. The delivery quests were enjoyable if difficult to get S ranks in them all. I hope to see it expand even more, it need to be larger and have more places to decorate!
For the future I am really curious about the gnomes and the portal inside city hall. As a fan of both GW1 and GW2 and knowing that the gnomes deal with time, I really want to see the old maps return in some form. I like both the old and new maps and would love to see the old maps with the new characters!
Great game, good fun, easy to get into, friends are playing it so even us older gamers can really enjoy this game. Just need balance to be closer overall and to see the return of the old gestures and other aspects of GW1 to make GW2 more encompassing of the best aspects of both games.
