In short... no it needs to be disabled in Windows or just don't give a **** and do what everyone else is doing with an open mic.

There is no option to disable the voice chat, or a least turn the mic off????
Did they test the game for more then 5 minutes???

you could just unplug it, so the rest of us won't have to toggle mute on and off for about 10+ times while playing.

its possible, the solution is a virtual sound card.
just create a virtual sound card with a tool of your choice, select the mic in of the virtual sound card as your windows default sound card, and the game will use it.
then just select in teamspeak/skype/ventrillo the real soundcard mic in and you can talk to friends via teamspeak/skype/ventrillo and nobody ingame hears you.

I reported this issue to customer support. He said he would bump it to higher level and would get to the developers. Fingers are crossed. Even if we follow a guide to our own push-to-talk, tons of people will still have deafening open microphones with horrible feedback.

I know it is annoying, and I've been yelled at by some kid to turn off my mic, but so far, I cannot. Is there a way to turn it off????
The VOIP options are in Audio Settings.
