At first I was confused about what they said about this character not adding levels to max rank. It would seem that this is their way of letting players who do not have unicorn to make max rank without him. If you're already 5455, it won't add anything to your rank.
If correct, I think this was a great compromise. I predict it will essentially just be a re-skin of unicorn chomper.
My read of the ways to unlock him matches up with the above post. I wonder how we will unlock him during that week? Rux? Sticker packs? I reckon it's going to cost a very pretty penny.
Lastly, I don't care for this recent trend of having new things in the game available for only a short window of time. If you can't play during that one week and earn enough to unlock the character, then you have to pay with real money. Not a very nice way to arrange things, in my view.

"It won't be a cakewalk! The goal will be player vanquishes via the community challenge. You'll need to hit a high (personal) threshold of player vanquishes over the period of one week. Not everyone is going to get it! The good news is that you'll have 7 stages of Wal-Nut goodness to grind it out on. 🙂"
Looks like it may be a busy week 😃 guess we will need to wait and see....
- i love Chompers a lot, that's why they're all mastered in my game, and the most played plant variant is the Yeti Chomper for me, also i succeed to max rank the Unicorn one, thanks to the events where i had chance to play with it, still i got the feeling that this would be the nightmare week for the Zombies side with this Twilight Chomper, ouch ^_^
