Unable to log in to my child's EA account in order for her to play GW2

Hi all,

Unable to log in to my child's EA account, when logged in to the Xbox on her Gamertag. She has been using mine for quite some time, but I decided it was time to trust her with her own.

Her EA and Microsoft accounts have her at her correct age, which equal to the game's PEGI rating of 7, but I am receiving the following error: 

Unable to Login

We cannot complete this action at this time. If you need assistance, please reference help.ea.com or answers.ea.com.

I'm not sure what the problem is, and I cannot troubleshoot it when the error given is so vague! I have searched for a solution, but have not found a definitive resolution to this, other than some users advising that they had to spoof their child's age, effectively bypassing any parental controls, to allow them to play EA games. If true, this is a serious lack of functionality in EA's online service!

Does anyone have a fix for this?

    @ForteanApe You may need to check your child’s settings on your account to make sure they have the correct permissions to access online features. There are some settings that will not allow child accounts to play specific game modes or multiplayer games if specific settings are not enabled.

    @ForteanApeWhoops, I did not clarify. I meant Xbox settings, but if you still have trouble afterwards, try checking the child’s EA account settings.

    If you need more assistance after you have tried this, I am happy to continue assisting.

    @TheSprinter85 Ok, thanks. This is ultra frustrating. I have been talking with Xbox support, and they have been pointing the finger at EA's policy of not allowing child accounts access to their multiplayer services. Ultimately, the platform's parental controls should supersede the publisher, IMHO. But, I will keep solidering on with this!

    My plants vs zombies GW2 says “This account is invalid 

    This account is invalid. Please visit help.ea.com for more information.”

    To try and fix your issue @marhory, firstly try resetting your EA account password. That sometimes works, but not always, also any other information you could provide would be great, the more info I have, the better I can help you.
