Unable to play GW2 without NVIDIA driver

Hello, I'm a bit new to all of this. I've owned Garden Warfare 2 for a little under a year, and hadn't played the game in a while. I tried recently to open the game, but it gives me an error every time.

Detected Intel driver version 30.0.101.1960 04/29/2022 00:00:00. The recommended driver version is xx.xx.15.4251 or later. Please update your drivers at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ before playing the game.

Do you want to try and run the game anyway? There may be stability, performance or visual corruption issues.

When I hit OK, the game boots up as normal apart from the fact that I am unable to make any inputs with my computer or mouse. My Intel drivers are currently fully up to date, but from what I have seen it looks like the game now requires NVIDIA drivers? I'm confused as to why those are necessary, the game looks fine enough from what I have been able to see without inputs. Is there some way to get the game working or is it not possible? I'm less concerned about the money I spent on the game (I had got it on sale for 6$) and more so missing out on the experience after the Steam port sparked a bit of a renaissance for the game.

My computer is a Dell Inspiron 3501 by the way. Here are the specs:

Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1115G4 @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB (7.73 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Hopefully someone here can help me get this working. Thanks in advance.

    @Crispcatto

    Downloading and installing all available hardware drivers for your specific machine from the Dell website is advised, thanks.

  • I've updated all of my necessary drivers from the Dell website, but no dice. Same error as before. What else can I try?

  • Hi There, I am having exactly the same problem. I have a 6 month old laptop. Win 11, i5 11th Gen and all up to date drivers.

    I've heard it's to do with the new numbering on the drivers, so older games think they are out of date even though they're not.....

    Any updates on this? Thanks 🙂
