Unfair matchmaking
I have a real problem with the matchmaking. I have spent some money on the game but consider myself an average player. I am currently rank 20 but am consistently placed in matches against level 45-50 ...

Player pool always shift based on meta. Current meta is favored plant (heal loop, flower synergy, clique peas), so many players will play as plants. The current zombie players now are dominated by 'hardcore' and 'challenging' players, because they fight most of the strong meta from plants. i personally agree that current situation really not suitable for new players because they lack most of strong cards that many old players have.
Replying to zdarcon I guess there’s my reason why I don’t play match making multiplayer anymore (sarcasm on the I guess, I don’t guess I KNOW) and thank YOU for pointing it out, I sure wish you were 1 of the developers because so far it’s been the same.

Myself, I have UL badge for every season so far. This season, as we all dropped down from 50 to 30, I played about a week and got to level 40. And then I stopped playing league for the most part.
Occasionally I have played, but I don't like playing a level 10 or 11 plant hero without a last season badge so I know that they pretty much just started playing and then get destroyed in 4 or 5 rounds. Sometimes without even them landing a hit or having even one block on their meter because of Disconaut.
So I started playing and conceding at the end of the game if they actually stuck in out. But that's not the reason I play this game.
I have a few suggestions that some have been brought up before and others, maybe not.
1. Lots of lower levels biggest complaint is having to face levels waaaay higher, and by same token, many ULers are playing league still because....why? a few stars? the feeling of power they get from keeping a level 19 moving on up on their watch? I'm not sure but maybe once you hit 50 and it says "you are in ultimate league"...well, you are now in fact, in ultimate league and if playing league, are only matching with other level 50s. You are the first person there? Then that's more of a fact to boast about than beating 1500 stars worth of gold and silver leaguers.
2. One bonus star for every league higher if matchmaking has to stay as erratic as it is
3. We only have badges for the last season and I have had three UL badges compared to players with only last season, or no badge as this is their first season. I don't think that if we were getting more evenly matched opponents across the board that too many players would be upset about having to wait a little bit for a game. I love that you can log on and be playing vs someone in less than a minute, but I would wait that minute if I would be consistently matched to others with multiple badges in same league
