This is in response to seeing what I heard at the end of the recent 'Live from Popcap' stream and what I've seen being talked about in the forums.

Kind of disappointing to see the community degenerate into something rather ugly over nothing.
Personally I think the easiest solution would be to offer a recoloured version of the Unicorn chomper that players could earn in GW2. That way GW2 players could finish their sticker book and enjoy the the unicorn chomper too but still give GW1 players something special for achieving 313. Granted not everyone would be happy with that solution but you can't please everyone as the saying goes.
Games should be fun and while friendly rivalries have their place , segregating the community with the haves and have nots at the expense of fun isn't the path I would like to see popcap go down.
What's really disappointing is that after an announcement, a deadline and an extension are that some players still too good to go earn the UniChomper.
How many of you people crying about getting the unicorn chomper actually know how to use a chomper infact how many of you even tried using a chomper. I maxed out all my chompers and this chomper wasn't my top 3. My top 3 chompers were the electricity, vampire, and disco chomper. Complain when you get all characters maxed out this is just a chomper with new skin and a warp that isn't as good as the scientist warp.

Meh I'd say Fire is better than all of the ones you listed. Yeti is just broken and Hot Rod is funny as anything, if you manage to make it out alive that is with the low health, this one is going to get you to safety with the speed.
But yeah I agree Unicorn isn't in the top, not even close and stats prove that. The only unique thing about it is that you can get to places quicker other Chompers can't, can pounce on someone quicker at the expense of not being able to burrow, because you can't ever hide yourself anymore it's actually a negative in almost every situation.
You're no longer sneaky, you're just a walking target that leaves a glowing trail behind you that screams follow me please and shoot me. People only use it because it's an achievement, it shows you endured pain and suffering to unlock it despite everything. It would be insane for them to go back on their word and give it out, that is a complete disregard in their promise and intended purpose and also a major break in trust and a massive waste if time for those who specifically went back and unlocked it.
If the developers read this and have any sense, they will listen to the players who actually played their game and can prove it by unlocking the Unicorn Chomper, and not cry babies who didn't play the first one, have no intention of playing the first one and will quit this one if they don't get their silver spoon handed to them on a glowing golden plate. If this offends you then good. Accept that you weren't dedicated enough to get it and accept that there are better Chompers out there. If you want it bad enough you have another 10 months and it only took me ONE!

If you're actually using the pathetic line of "oh no I can't max my rank" then yes you can, you just need to play the first one just like we did, or wait for them to release it on showcase for you whiners!

I play games for fun , gw1 leveling system is not fun so I will not play it. It's as simple as that.😇 Though it's pretty clear fun is not what drives your arguments.😉
Many players who maxed their rank before the UniChomper did not like the leveling system either, yet they still played the game and had fun. Everyone plays for fun. The difference is some people have fun playing for achievements and others putting hats on their sunflowers.
