This is in response to seeing what I heard at the end of the recent 'Live from Popcap' stream and what I've seen being talked about in the forums.

My opinion is:
Gw2 servers on PC are already empty, make this character a way to unlock in Gw2, because i would like to see more people playing this game rather than the previous one.
One more.
As a new player what can i do besides buy the first game and grind for a lots of months at playing something "old" and unfunny for me? ? I would like to play THIS GAME, not the old one. Don't be selfish boyz, it's not like you have worked on a prison to unlock it. Just make a way to obtain that in THIS game, an Hard way so at least you can deal the same amount of pain you "theorically" claim to had taken.
If you think it was a Pain playing GW1, why you want everything get the same pain? Are you sadist?!

@xXFrozenChromeXx Exactly , however there are those players who are just plain selfish , they refuse to give players who started only from GW2 the chance to get unicorn chomper through ANOTHER CHALLENGE which has the SAME DIFFICULTY , whining and whining how its ONLY for GW1 players , and it shows they are '' loyal '' . Please , to show you are ''loyal'' is to get to rank 313 not buy GW1 :3 .

No one is refusing anything and the UniChomper is not for GW1 players, BUT players who max their rank in GW1. These are the terms to unlock it whether you are rank 50 with 1000 hours or bought the game yesterday. It is not a veteran player award. It is not a new player bonus. If you started in GW2, then you might not know that there was no reward for the players who maxed their rank before the UniChomper existed. This is precisely why it cannot be earned any other way.
Can I just say something. The uni chomper was solely developed to reward GW1 players. That's right! It wasn't targeted at those playing GW2. It was developed as a reward (look this word up) for those that played GW1 long after the dlc's stopped. If you want it I have no problem in you going and EARNING it. It is not impossible and like the majority of people have been saying it takes very little time. After all, I got to lvl 313 twice. Once on the 360 and again on the xbox 1. And when They announced the loyalty promo I was only half way through leveling up on the xbox one. However, I put in the hard yards and in just 3 weeks I had it. It is super simple. You earn much quicker in GW1 and all you have to buy is the 20g plant packs. Once you've unlocked everything in the 20g plant pack you'll pull more skip stars.
If popcap release it to all players its a finger in the face to their most loyal fans. I'm not talking about the ones who played gw1 for a couple of months and then moved on to another game. I'm referring to those like me that played it from launch till the day GW2 came out. People that stuck with it long after all the dlc stopped and even the bug updates stopped. It would be a big mistake turning their back on their most loyal fans.
So you can complain about how the retro players are trying to keep the uni chomp for themselves but the truth is that it was created to reward exactly them! If you want it you know exactly where to go to earn it.
So are you telling me.
I have to play the first game
- when the second is out
- when the server's are pc are empty
- spend useless money
- spending the same time, but on a different game, doesn't matter the fact i'm spending time. but the fact i have to spend time IN THAT GAME
when instead i canm
- play the new one
- release guide and feedback and something else here or on reddit
- enjoy play with friends that wants to play with me at second game, and making game enjoyable for more friends
I think this is much a proof of the fact im a loyalty person.
I see only selfish salty butthurted people who doesnt want to share their toys with anyone because they need to think they are special.
Personally i ddnt know anything about this, and im pretty disheartened POPCAP is encouraging me to play the first game rather than this one to have all unlock. In top of that i'm not talking about a Cool personalization, but a single chomper with an important different ability that i would like to use strategically in some maps.
Make a similiar Chomper with different Colors, like a Brown Pony with the same ability and i would be fine.OH WAIT. I'M SURE YOU DON'T WANT, right?

That's exactly what I'm saying 🙂 Again, you need to somehow understand that this character wasn't aimed for everyone. Simply those that had reached 313. In saying that it can easily be attained. You just need to spend less time on the forums complaining and more time online.
The truth is you can complain until you are blue in the face but you will never be considered as loyal as someone who has come from GW1. Someone who has stuck by the game. Take this for instance. Say I was to go play call of duty and buy the most recent game. I find out that players of the previous games get to unlock an exclusive weapon. I can tell you right now that I wouldn't care. I would respect that as I'm a newbie to the game I haven't earned it . If they gave me an option to unlock it as a newbie and if I really wanted to unlock it then that's exactly what I would do. I wouldn't jump online and tell them to create an easier way for my lazy * to unlock it. This is the exact same scenario here. You have been given a way to unlock it and more than ample time to do so, so just do it.
Creating any sort of easier way to unlocking the uni chomp or creating a different variant defeats the purpose of its existence as a reward for loyal players of gw1.
i think they just need to put in gardenwarfare 1 stickerpacks wich contains much skipstars for a little money
