Used Stars to clear rubble in zombie yard, rubble came back

The title kind of gets to the point: I used some stars to clear a pile of rubble in the zombie yard, and when I reloaded my game, it was turned back to rubble again. I don't know what happened, but...

Nothing currently. Just waiting on a patch to fix the tutorial bug/customization not saving. I'm afraid to spend my stars and see them disappear again.

  I am having the same problem right now. ALL rubble piles have reset on both side as well as the epic dock location. I have contacted EA and they gave me a link for the old game. Any suggestions? Anyone have this problem actually fixed? Seems like way too many stars to lose for a big!
