I know most folks will be all caught up after the stream, but for anyone who missed it:Starting February 3, you can start feeling the love in Giddy Park with hearts, arrows, and a lot of pink! You’ll be free to work through the new Prize Map to earn new costumes, hats, and more. Rux’s Emporium will also have new stock for you to peruse for Rainbow Stars. Legendary Upgrade In February, we are introducing our first Legendary Upgrade, the Shogun-Guard! This Legendary Upgrade is for Kernel Corn and will be available on the Prize Map between Feb 3 and March 1. After the Valenbrainz Festival ends, the Legendary Upgrade will move to the Rux’s Emporium for Rainbow Stars. A legendary upgrade is a combination of a Legendary costume paired with a themed upgrade* that will change a layer of gameplay and strategy for the Kernel. When Shogun-Guard is equipped, Kernel Corn will have a slower rate of fire, but will deal more damage and when you Aim Down Sight (zoom in) he will activate a small shield in front of himself. *While the Shogun-Guard upgrade is earned/unlocked with the Legendary costume, these do not need to be used together.

@FRC_Foxman I've seen it said that the Feb map needs 50 more bulbs to complete?So, that'll wipe out max bulbs accumulated this month, leaving us with the usual full month's worth to earn to complete the map in a shorter period of time.It is still do-able of course, if people have the time (& inclination) but it does also mean there's a greater chance that people won't accumulate the 50 max bulbs on top, which will have a knock-on effect for the Wizard prize map . . .Hmmm.

@SockReverie That’s not my point. My point is more bulbs, less time for completing the map. And casually when we have a legendary upgrade. Maybe its just a coincidence and its my paranoid thinking ;D

@AWMaxSterling It does of course depend on how much & what you play, but up to now I've found it relatively easy enough to complete the map & top up my bulbs through doing the all of the daily & character challenges along with maybe 4-5 games of Ops a day?Until recently, I've had the added incentive of investing time into play so I could finish mastering all my characters, but now that's done, I admit I think I'm probably going to find it harder to do that from this point on.Without changes to Ops, which I've done to death, TT which is . . . well, as it is (and sorry @spIash_damage but BA would only ever be my thing with friends 😥) I'm now struggling to find enough to keep me putting time into the game.

@ToastedSarnie @AWMaxSterling Yeah I find this too.... some days I hardly play but still manage to complete it early... and most months lose a lot of bulbs due to the cap... so wish you could gift them to those who don't have the time.... seems such a waste of bulbs.but like you am finding it harder and harder to find something I want to do, and the not being awarded bulbs you have earned doesn't help either.I am, however, finding the new map fun if I manage to stick Turf long enough to get it in rotation. Hoping very much that they drop the Phase 3 of Ops asap and surprise us with a super fun Ops... different locations would be great... and difficulty... and... and..... well we have discussed all those wants/issues before 🙂Oh CROSSPLAY CROSSPLAY CROSSPLAY would be so welcome. 🤞🤔😃

@ToastedSarnie Oh no... I had 50 bulbs saved up for february but decided to just complete the january prize map for the century dragon. After seeing this thread and the increase in the total bulbs needed, I regret this choice deeply...

ADDED: And I could be wrong about having to finish the map - maybe check the stream??

@TheSprinter85 All this means is that only grinders can accumulate a significant amount of extra bulbs, if you don't grind, you're still going to finish it by the end of the month, but you won't have much more prize bulbs remaining at the end.

I've also heard that although the bulbs required to complete the prize map is higher than normal, it's not by as much as 50, so hopefully most people will be able to complete anyway 🤞

Completing the Prize Map is actually not hard especially if you get your character challenges done every week. 15 bulbs for a few matches of play, plus all the daily challenges, you can accumulate a ton of bulbs. In all honesty, ever since the total XP needed to get a Prize Bulb dropped from 15,000 to 5,000, obtaining bulbs is a much quicker endeavor even for the casual player. While some are stating we need a Prize Bulb increase (which would make it even easier), I think it should continue to be a challenge and making the Prize Map more difficult is a must IMO.

What would be cool is if we could set some type of difficulty for your Prize Map at the beginning of a new event and depending on the difficulty you select, the gear is better and more rare the harder it is. I know this wouldn’t happen and I know I’m not being fair to the players only on once or twice a week. But I spend a lot of time grinding and leveling up my characters and getting some gear that’s very hard to get (and that only a select number of players have) would drive me to play BFN even more.

@ToastedSarnie I calculated the prize map for next month, it looks like there's only about 204 bulbs you need to spend to buy everything, and it looks like you don't need to complete the entire prize map to get to the Shogun-guard legendary upgrade, if you skip particular items, because the 100% complete prize map item is not the legendary upgrade, rather it's another (really cool) costume for Corn. It looks like, if taking the shortest route, you only need 115 bulbs to get to the legendary upgrade - great for people like me who would like to get it and find it desirable to get the upgrade as soon as possible! 😃
@shurikeninja Agreed, if grinders save up bulbs for February, they'll get a huge head start for this upcoming prize map and make a significant amount of progress towards the legendary upgrade if taking the smallest route. So, people who grind the prize map will get extra bulbs ready for next month. So grinders have a distinct advantage over casual players for that reason!

Ok … well, I don't find it a rubbish idea (as you only need 115 bulbs for the Corn legendary upgrade if taking the shortest route), but I can see people not being happy with this, especially those collectors (like me); if the developers are going to go through with this idea, perhaps don't this in March as well? Just a consideration!
That's the kind of crap that turns me away from games. I barely even have the time to complete these maps, especially since they stopped giving us 30 bulbs halfway thru. Even unlocking all four character a 2nd time helped tremendously that one time they did it... but I can't wrap my head around how some of you end up with 50 extra bulbs after completing a map. If they don't make prize bulbs much easier to collect. It's one less game I'll be playing daily... and one less franchise I'll purchase games from again.

Get good at BA. More Bulbs than I know what to do. Really. I expect to finish the next map in less than one week.
