Turn off build in origin in the game should solve the problem
Hy,
I have a same problem that the guys said with ASUS K53SV. I created the video about the problem:

I hope as soon as poosible the EA solve the problem, because I would like to play with this game!

Check in ASUS web for update drivers
If this not work try this
1st Uninstalle the game
2nd Download CCLEANER and clean the registry
3rd Reinstall the game

I have the latest softwares on my laptop and the hardware is good to this game (Core i7, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GT540M), I reinstalled the game and doesn't work.

The GT 540m was based on a fence-sitting target zone that has moved on and taken the performance gap between Low End Cards and Game cards upward several steps up the ladder, while the various GT n40s got left behind. The DESKTOP version is good enough to be a game minimum in THIS game. Because it's redesigned for low heat characteristics, the GT 540m is 20% slower and is going to be quite slow, even in this game, with its entry level minimums.
