The closest we have to variants are character upgrades. The closest we have to different weapons are legendary upgrades.
New weapon skins like in GW2 would a cool addition into Battle for Neighborville, as far as I am concerned, we do not have those right now.
What I want most are alternate abilities though, I loved them in GW2 and always looked forward to buying more, I used these alternate abilities frequently, even if they were just cosmetic, such as Bling Maiden.

- 6 years ago@TheSprinter85 Some legendary upgrades, like Steam Blaster and BB are completely different to the default weapons and introduce a new playstyle (BB makes SB more offensive, than utility with his shield and his ranged projectiles), but some like thorn apart don't feel too different.

@stukapooka Yes I totally agree. I loved using the different play styles of the different ability variants - I found that specific ones shined in really particular situations. For example, Mood Shield is great when you’re in heated combat because while it didn’t last as long, it was more durable and you would know when it was getting close to being destroyed. And to show them off as well.
@Shadowphinx101 Most of the legendary upgrades drastically change the weapons of the characters, like you mentioned. Now, while this may not class as “new weapons”, at least it’s something different which somewhat resembles new variants. Legendary upgrade work similarly.
- stukapooka6 years agoLegend@TheSprinter85 I still think they introduced legendary upgrades because they knew people would get bored of the upgrade system and one playstyle for a class in a month tops when people unlocked everything and even then they are completely destroying balance by either being underwhelming (shogun guard) or overpowered (steam blaster).
