I think the word both here and on Reddit is that the first 2 still give you coins... its only the last one that gives you rainbow stars.
And if that is the case, which it seems like, it totally sux big stylee
I'm very glad I didn't miss any on the first two but I don't think I can DO the third one. I'll get trying though. Have til Tuesday I guess.

I used Citron.
Just keep racing to the Crystal Dog and you'll eventually arrive first. The Zombies will bombard in as a full unit (usually 3 or 4 to 1 plant) and WAIT until JUST BEFORE they arrive to pick up the dog. When they do, give 'em all ya got with the Naval Laser (LOL, if I'm saying that "wrong").
I succeeded on my second attempt and ended up killing SIX team stackers... I mean... Zombies. Six of 'em at once... ! HAH.

@spIash_damage I tried it with citron and woohoo managed to pick up a crystal dog.... but it ran out before I killed anybody ... then I died.
Will keep trying when I can cope with the stress 😃
Maybe we can change that last challenge to "win 100 matches". I'm gonna have that done before the actual 3rd challenge.

@asabaidaI usually play on Europe. Yesterday night I tried to complete the challenge but have been stuck on the third one due to unbalanced teams.
But it is possible I think if the matches are full. First I thought I have to vanquish three opponents within one Crystal Dog period but I just have to stay alive. Three vanquishes with the buff in one match should work if I am able not to die.
