Judging by the numerous similar threads you seem to have missed; yes, this is normal.
Like he said, you're good. Not your pc just a huge technical issue that nearly everyone on pc is having.
Doesn't matter what GPU settings I do, my cpu usage is anywhere between 90%-100%. This is not normal, im sure its just bad optimization. Any one else have this problem or know of a fix. Maybe we just have to wait for an update
FPS is solid but the game pauses and hangs every couple of seconds making it impossible to play. Also, even with acceleration at zero sensitivity is very inconsistent. I know this has been reported plenty of times but a dev said to put your system setup to help further address the issue.

Yes, I'm going through the same problem. CPU usage is so high, going 100%, that sometimes even the game's audio gets weird, robotic. I hear the audio getting weird sometimes even in the game's start menu, or when I enter a loading screen. My fps is ok, but is lagging all the time. It's been a pretty bad experience, especially considering I was playing Plants vs Zombies GW2 at 60fps. It is so sad.

Intel Core i5 2320 3.0 GHZ You're not alone, I'm having the same issue. I'll start up the game which takes forever to load, and then my CPU starts running insanely high temperature wise (jumped up to 87°c at one point so I instantly closed the game as soon as I noticed). I want to play the game but I'm about to get a refund, ain't worth burning up my pc. For comparison purposes, I can run overwatch with mid graphics and my cpu remains in mid to low 70°c with an occasional jump to the high 70s when alot is going on.
having problem with the perf and fps my fps are like at minimum 25 , small freez happened sometime but the perf and fps are NOT decrease more even if there is 10zombie adding in the screen ad there was already some zombie anyway here my composant

comment:yes im playing on a laptop ik the video ram is not that much but the graphic cards himself make forgot about the video ram i can play all my best game i want on medium or low graphic im not searching something beautifull all i want is playing my game even that small perf reduc is not that much bad i can deal with it if you cant do something (if u say my graphic cards is to much old for trying todo something) but i really hop u guys will stable more the game about the perf and fps enought for me to enjoy one of the game i like play :3Me too. My game has lots of random lag spikes and frame skips. CPU usage is at 100% nearly the entire time while my GPU usage is only around 40%. I found it helps to keep restarting the game multiple times until it stops lagging bad enough that you can play. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
My specs:
I5 6500
Gtx 1070ti
16Gb ram
Me too, I am playing on a laptop with an I7 7700 HQ, GTX 1060 max-q, and 16GB of ram
Same here. The game caused my CPU to run in full tilt. 99 to a 100 percent usage. No other game I have played before has done that.
My CPU is an I7 7700 HQ.
