One Turn Kill Professor Brainstorm is pretty much an unstoppable force as of now when you choose to pay a lot, getting 4 copies of Valkyrie, Teleport, and Tricksters.
Since Valkyrie can get so unfairly huge thanks to cannon fodder AND be able to get teleported with a potential bonus attack to wreck any plant standing in the way, you're almost always guaranteed a loss if you let too much cannon fodder zombies die. Pay to win Brainstorm players have plenty of teleports and bonus attacks to ensure that Valkyrie always finishes the plant hero in a turn with more than 20 attacks after a few turns. Those kinds of decks are REALLY unfair.
You can't really play against that kind of combo unless you have a mass arsenal of Brainanas and Rescue Radishes. Building huge plants is also a no go since he has access to Rocket Science. Ignoring the cannon fodder might result in the Brainstorm playing an Orchestra Conductor Zombie or killing them himself with Fireworks Zombie/Barrel of Deadbeards and it just gets plain messy.
I appreciate Brainstorm players who use any deck other than these kinds of decks. Any other hero deck can be dealt with most of the time.
My top hero list:
1. Immorticia: I really like playing tricks and buffing zombies, and Immorticia offers the most tricks and dispensable zombies(Ghost Zombie, Brain Vendor) the plant hero wouldn't dream of killing, leading me to give a 3/3 buff to one of them during the trick phase. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE LET HIM LIVE.
2. Chompzilla: I enjoy the buffs the Mega-Grow class offers to the Solar class, specifically Venus Flytrap and Strike-Through plants. The more sun I accumulate thanks to the flowers, the more I can dish out stronger plants and buffs. Also healing and Squashes because I make mistakes.
3. Grass Knuckles: He has the capacity to buff Bulls-Eye plants AND protect already huge plants with some nuts, what's not to like? He has less potential for removing huge zombies, so he's a little lower than Chompzilla.
4. Rose: Rose has a huge potential for freeze decks. Paired with flowers such as Power Flower and Briar Rose, Rose can maximize the potential of Snow Drop, using her superpowers and tricks to destroy any potential zombie threat.
5. Rustbolt: He has quite a few debuffing tricks and protection against plants who go a little agressive. He also has a wide access to sports zombies, slightly more than the Smash, making him great with buffing the Mascot to ensure he lives and gives other sports zombies the boost they need.
6. Citron: Citron has tons of amphibious creatures, but is slow to start up. It makes me feel good when I outnumber my opponent with lots of buffed amphibians with a Navy Bean.
