Seeing a lot of threads with what's OP or not and thought, why not make a thread where we can discuss what's OP and what can be done to balance it. Example: Imps - Should not be able to capture or ...
I think all of these suggestions are bad...
1) Lower the damage on Electro Brainz arc damage, and put it on a timed interval matching the capabilities of other electric classes shots. Being a beam it just arcs for too much damage too often.
2)The Imp needs his health dropped to 60, and his primary needs a RoF slowdown. Standard Imp can dump his whole mag in 2.65 seconds. Way too fast.
3) I hate the idea of giving the Sunflower a shotgun. Instead give her a mech, like the one in the poster in-game. It's in L.E.A.F headquarters I believe. They should totally do it... But I think that she is mainly fine if they tune some of the other character for slower kills. Alien Flower needs a legitimate buff though, regardless. She's not good.
4) Zoologist, Computer Scientist, Marine Biologist need damage nerfs. Too much damage way too quickly with his high end mobility. Zoologist can dump 9 shots in 3.1 seconds. Which is a whole second faster than a chomper can chomp 9 times, and the Chomper is an actual melee class. Those 3 scientist variants need damage nerfs badly, and possibly even a mobility nerf.
5) Two options here, and it is in regards to the captain and the cactus. Either buff the Cactus' Garlic Drone to drop his Corn Bomb quicker, or reduce the drop time on the Parrots eggsplosion. The Parrot is just simply better than the Garlic Drone in every single way, from how it fires with its primary weapon, to it's health, or the drop time on the bomb. That needs to be balanced, and either way is all good in my book. Although the Cactus' should be better seeing as how the Captain is already so offensive with his Cannon, and barrel, while the cactus just has some wallnuts and potato mines.
Well it's an open discussion and I was throwing out examples, good or bad :P
3.) Am I the only one who wouldn't mind the Sunflower having a Shotgun? Anyhoo, if she gets a different mech for each variation, I am so for that. I would say Vampire sunflower need a buff, with that health decrease and practically non-existent "life-leech" hits, an Imp can out live her.
4.) Nothing for the Beaker Blaster variant? (Idk the name) I'm might not be all for his mobility getting nerfed, IF, his damage gets nerfed. Then he wouldn't be popping in, taking kills and popping out :P
5.) I wouldn't mind if the Devs showed some love for the Cactus.
Curious though, why not give her a "shotgun" effect like they gave Deadbeard? Her sniping game also feels weaker then Deadbeards...and Foot Soldiers...and Super Brainz....
The only reason why Cactus' sniping game feels weaker is because as the Soldier, Super Brainz, and Captain can all get up onto rooftops for a sniping advantage. Cactus has to remain on the ground which means he is less advantageous than the others. That's the same reason why Super Brainz can be really annoying as a long range "sniper" type in a match. You get several of them up on rooftops in turf wars camping the capture point and it makes it tough. They have the ability to take the damage you dish out and safely move to the opposite side of the roof for complete cover, and recover. And with Electro Brainz it makes it completely impossible to do anything as a group against them because of his ridiculously high arcing damage.
So I agree that I think Cactus needs a buff to some thing because in this game (GW2) his inability to get up on rooftops as a sniper really leaves him behind, because now there are soooo many classes that can do it. Maybe give him a way to get up there like so many of the others, and he'd seem better. Having a sniper as a ground only target in GW2 where there are a lot more rooftops and characters who can get up on them is a bad concept. Because snipers more so than other types need that height advantage to actually see the field in front of them. On the ground, with all the new cover points GW2 maps offer it's really pretty stupid that he can't get up there.
But I hope they really buff up all the old variants from gw1, they need it, and tone down the new variants for all classes in gw2, outside of the legendary ones. Because they're supposed to be legendary...You know.
Well, yeah. Sniper are generally suppose to be mobile, outside of when they bunker down. Cactus has 0 mobility and only 1 weak means to get on top of vantage points while the Zombies have a skill that can get them there easily. Perhaps give Cactus a "super jump" like Super Brainz?

Instead of talking about what's "OP" can we demand a fix for the lag and hit connection issues. This should be our number 1 demand right now
