What's with this time extension?

Isn't it hard enough to defend a position. Then you add new players and extend the time because they picked up a battery or bomb 🤔

    The two Turf Takeover maps with the mini-games at the end, Loggy Acres (bomb delivery) and Turning Point (battery theft) only extend the time at the successful completion of a portion of the task- so when the Zombies deliver a Bomb to the Marshmallow Mortar or when the Plants run a battery all the way back to their spawn area they get an extra 30 seconds.

    The extra time doesn't get added when the Zombies just pick up a bomb or the Plants just initially pull out a battery, only when they run those items all the way to their goal.

    The time extensions do a couple of things- first the final round starts with a shorter total time so if the attackers are doing super poorly the game can end earlier and you don't have to sit there as a defender beating them up for the maximum time allowed. The second thing it does is add some excitement and tension to the round when the timer is ticking down to zero and suddenly the attackers get an extra 30 seconds which makes both sides fight all the harder.
