Please remove them from PvP, Popcap.
At least it’s Al, not players, doing it, and it gives your allies easy vanquishes on your taunting Al enemies. By the way, I wonder if the addition of Private Play will remove bots from PvP? I somewhat hope so. Cause currently, PvP is a mix of playing, well PvP and Battle Chests.
Can only repeat that I hate bots in Team Vanquish. Used to be my favourite mode but not fun anymore when killing AI half the time. I only can bear Turf now with bots.
Bots also don't respond well to special modes. In a game of Suburban Isolation our three AI team mates where hanging around A when C was active. They may as well not be in the team.
How about a matchmaking option "allow bots"? This would please everyone:
If you have it switched on and it takes too long to find a game you'll be put in one with bots and other available players.
If you have it switched off the game will wait until you have more real players, as you have signalled you prefer to wait longer.
In both cases, on or off, if there are enough active players everyone will be put in together with no bots.

@34975634954957The reason bots are here is because the gamemodes were empty or dying (when was the last time you actually played a full human lobby?) and trying to separate the two would make matchmaking even longer, so unless you got thousands of new players to join the game over the next few months it looks like bots are here to stay.
Though I do agree that their pathfinding is pretty crap as I see them get stuck pretty often.

Yeah you are right that is the root of the problem. I guess if handled better it wouldn't be dying on some platforms to begin with.
- stukapooka6 years agoLegend@34975634954957 Yeah the real problem is simply that Popcap dropped the ball really hard on BFN and really split the fanbase right down the middle with removing variants for balance but then adding the broken legendary upgrades like steam blaster and while we are finally getting private play it came back almost a year after release when it was a base feature in gw2, less spawnables and they're weaker then ever, ops is still in shambles, new characters are coming at a snails pace, changing core mechanics but keeping the ganemodes of gw just doesn't work, the amount of bugs makes an ant hill look deserted, and Rux is overall one of the greediest cash grabs I've seen out of this series.
Overall it seems like with bfn and pvz 3 that third times the charm is not always true for everything and people are abandoning a sinking ship at this point.
