Why do I have to be online to play plants
My son is trying to play his plants vs zombies 2 game he just got for Christmas and it is saying he has to have a psn account. Any help?

If your son want to play GW2 (campaign) he need internet connection and he need to be logged in PSN account.
To play multiplayer he need PS+ or XBOX Live Gold.
I am attaching a piece of the post about it and a link to it.

If you want to play multiplayer, i.e anything that involves playing with another player online you will need PS+ for PS4 or XBOX Live Gold for XBOX One.
If you want to play solo you will still need an internet connection but do not require PS+/XBOX Live gold.

@CapitanRoyon Why can't I just play it offline? This seems needlessly annoying.
