Why do players think Electro Pea is better than Plasma Pea in GW2

The Plasma Pea was super cool looking in PVZ GW1, but in GW2 they changed him so Electro Pea could look better. Is this the main reason people think Electro Pea is better, or is there more to it? Per...

All the detonation characters (E-Pea, Captain cannon, and Petrified cactus), are extremely nasty in the right hands. I'm not very good with these characters but they can be really difficult to deal with when played well.
