Why does the Phenomenal character pack now cost 120000 coins?

Last night (10/17/2016), the packs were 75K and not faction specific.  This morning, they are now a limited time pack, plants only and cost 120K.  I cannot find anything anywhere pertaining to this u...

Indeed, you can see my several posts in that thread.  The only other person in that thread who says they bought one of these packs says they bought eight of them, and got only one character variant each time.  If I've missed noticing someone saying they actually purchased one and got a bunch of characters, please quote them for me, perhaps I'm stupid.  The only people I saw writing in that thread that you get more than one variant are simply repeating "what they heard," just like you are.  I invite you again to start a fresh account and work up 120K to buy the pack like I did, so you can comment from experience and not hearsay.
As for the rest, I strongly disagree with you but will not continue on with it here as it is off topic.  By your reasoning, any negative comments about popcap or the game (let's say roughly about 90% of posts in this forum) belong in that Bugs forum.

No, I don't think anything like that of you. I was just trying to show you where your issue might be heard lol. I only saw what you wrote because you directed it at me. I wouldn't have noticed your issue otherwise.

the pack is supposed to give you what I said.

That Reddit topic has users stating the same I have said, but I cannot verify anyone actually buying one (I don't see how I physically can lol.) Just like yourself, I can only take someone's word on it. I assume the people stating what the pack contains as them buying one. I haven't contacted each user to ask.

Like I said, I don't doubt your issue, but definitely make a topic where your issue can be clearly stated and not in a sea of posts.

    Input to the testing:
    So I saved up enough coins on my son's account and bought a pack. He does not have many characters. The character unlocked was only metal chomper. No additional characters.
    My main issue is the price of the pack with the lesser pool of characters being secondary. Thanks.

    Thanks for adding to the data.  So far, we have three individuals who have reported actually purchasing the pack, and none got more than one character variant.
