Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just play as the Plants and head to the cheese drill final mission. The Wildflower AI never attacks the drill core after it moves.
Which character were you playing when the bug occurred? Peashooter
What upgrades had you equipped with this character? Doesn't matter, its an AI bug, also my character class is Wildflower.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
The AI wildflowers that populate the plants team when there aren't enough players are perfectly capable of attacking the core when its facing towards the plant spawn, but when its on the right/left side, the wildflowers NEVER attack it. They'll move to the correct areas, they'll make line of sight with the core, the'll enter a spot where they COULD attack it, but they just... dont.
Quick update, turns out they DO attack the core, but ONLY if there are NO zombies around, if there's even a single zombie around, they instantly swap focus, so they BASICALLY never attack the core. Maybe a small tweak to AI is needed here? otherwise it become practically impossible to plants to win if there are too many AI.
