will this game work on mac

A typical Apple PC doesn't have good enough video to meet the minimum.  If it does do so, with Bootcamp and a copy of Windows, it works just like a regular Windows PC.

I think the market is probably too small for a Mac release because, as Gorath said, few Macs have the required video hardware. I think EA was at one point considering a Mac port of the game engine, but none of the games running on Frostbite 2 or 3 have ever come out on Mac, so I think it's doubtful.
