Witch hazel. Worth it or no?

I’m trying to justify $20 for a one health plant but struggling to do so. Anyone using it?

To me, it seems extremely optimistic to play it, especially without team-up. I could be wrong though, after all, the only way to truly know the power of a card is to use it

I have to be honest, I was impressed with the card, but it will be a good while before I get a chance to use it for something other than daily challenges.
I have only once bought a set of event cards, and it was the Kitchen Sink Zombie, who was also only available for coin. And I have stated previously on the forum that I did regret the purchase, because while you do get other cards, essentially you are buying 4. And usually they don't even give you the one free legendary when you get four, you get 500 gems.
Don't get me wrong, KSZ is an awesome card, but I don't play brainy enough for the purchase to be viable, when you are now able to craft him. Yes it is 2000 sparks, but it is still sparks and not coins.
So I will wait for the time that we can craft Witch Hazel, and then I probably won't get 4 but I will get a couple for sure.
  • I bought ksz too. Dumb purchase for me because I play plants but it is a good card. Witch started with 4 health now they kicked it to two. I’m sure it can be rough if you can keep it alive but that’s the point. It would be tough to keep it alive until later rounds in my opinion. I may still pull the trigger though lol. I need every edge I can get. Zombies got much tougher at the update

  • I got one the other day from a Cosmic Flower. My thoughts?

    Mehhh.... It is OK.

It is not a great card, but it is not bad either.

    Pros:

-You can destroy a zombie EVERY single turn.

-You can destroy big/annoying zombies that you couldn't otherwise (Like Octo Zombie or Fossilhead)

    Con :

    -Just 2 health

-It destroys a random zombie (You need to prepare a good estrategy in order to kill some zombies so the odds are reduced)

    -It creates a 1/1 shroom.

This last part can or cannot be considered a disadvantage of this card, but I think that, if this card survives a ton, you can have many small shrooms all over your board, making you unable to place your own team-up plants.

I think that this card is to be meant to be on a Citron deck. I mean, on a deck that can protect this card (like with Wall Nuts) and that can give this card extra health, so it doesn't get destroyed by a simple Bungee Plumber or a Chickening.

    I would rate it 7/10.

Seems interesting in a control deck, but I think it is way to complicated. I would try it anyway.

I would probably have a deck with hazel and GoNuts, or maybe threenut...but for sure with citron, like you said.
Or with astroshroom or in a shroom deck because if hazel costs 4, that means the first zombie that gets turned into a puff shroom can be immediately evolved by gloom shroom....that's kinda cool
