So I get swapped from side to side not every game but most games so Ivery been leveling plants and zombies, don't all yalls also? And I agree, from what I've seen overall zombies are stronger and more versatile as a whole. Roses overwhelming strengths have distracted most from that fact it seems. While a nerf was certainly in order it sounds like they went over the top and for awhile at least zombies are going to dominate.
I have to disagree.I think Plants are every bit as strong and versatile, but, I don't think they're used as effectively due to the over reliance on Rose. Many Plant people are complaining of Super Brainz right now, but I've found that my favorite plant to play is the Chomper, I often go for 12-20 kills on him with generally around a 1.5-2.5:1 kill/death ratio, a favorite target of mine is both Super Brainz and the Engineer.
I have a group I play with, where even before I started gaming with them, they would play as the Pea Shooter and the Vamp Sunflower, and between the two of them would/do always crack 35 kills (team vanquish), top the heal and res charts as well, and they 'always' play away from Rose's on their team. They've learned how to play without the over reliance on Rose to save their butts. I suspect, in time, many other Plants will do the same. But, the learning curve may seem steep to some.
Also, like another here stated, I think there's more classes on the Zombies side that have been mastered by more people than plants have on their side, making Zombies artificially feel stronger as well.

Although I do agree with some folks electro brains zap ray is slightly over tweaked though I can certainly live with and work around it

That could be it, just seemed like when I start a new plant type the learning curve vs zombies is so much worse vs learning a new zombie. Zombies has been pretty mugh avoid ranged rose(except captain) and prosper. That's cuz half their team is Rose, lol, if you are avoiding her, you're probably hitting lone cacti, or a straggling Sunflower, which when caught off guard are both easy. I do well on both sides without Rose, and I've seen others do the same, but I'll admit, I see a lot more baddies on Plants side when caught alone than I see on Zombies side.
