I have a video of me getting shot through a wall by a Pirate, for crying out loud. I was .5 to 1.5 seconds past the threshold of the door/wall when I got shot!
@spIash_damage I suppose this is entirely possible. The server says I'm somewhere else than I think I am.

The balls can track opponents and serve as mid range attacks, when fired properly. They cannot go through walls, they can track (very loosely) around corners, they have a hard time with elevation and dodge abilities.
