Xbox one plants vs zombies dowload

Trying to download P vs Z GW on the XBox One S. We have a slower high speed connection, 1.5MB/s if lucky, so I expected a 30 hour download. However, after 5GB, the game became playable (nice option) but the download disappeared from the queue and now only continues downloading when the game is open and being played. There is no way we can keep playing for the next 25 hours. If I walk away, it disconnects from the EA servers and downloading stops. Should I uninstall and start over? We are at 31% after two days, about 1% per hour. I can’t sit here and move the controller buttons ever five minutes to keep from disconnecting. Thoughts? I went in to settings to ensure the XBox won’t shut off...

  • I'm not much good on the technical stuff, so I'll suggest an alternate solution.  Can you get a refund for the download and purchase a hard copy?

I'm guessing that what you are playing is a game on a moon map where you can only play citron?  That's a tutorial that opens while the game is still loading on to the console.

I actually do have one suggestion.  If you can go to the the ops or multiplayer menu and open it up in a private game, start the game up to the point of the character selection or map selection screen, you can often stay AFK quite a bit longer before being timed out from the EA servers.  But I don't know if you can access these yet at the point you are up to in downloading.

Thanks.  Yep, it was still in tutorial mode.  Got a callback from EA and it seems that it was simply my incredibly slow, high-speed internet.  I was looking at 30 hours to complete, and then only if the game was running, so I packed it up and took it to town for faster downloading.  Still took four hours (ah, rural living!) but it's done!

    Thanks for your thoughts.  🙂

Thought about it but with the super slow download speed, I wanted to try everything else first.  It's working now.  Thanks!
