@JFKX Gotcha, so that sounds like it would do it. So short answer is no. That timeframe isn't something that can be changed. They would have to change that rule for all players who request it, and that decision is a bit out of our hands.
Community Manager@JFKX The only way that progress would be lost in changes like this is if you deleted the Xbox account from the EA account. Simply changing the email that is used to log in would not cause data to be lost.
If you change the email on an account, you can use that email to create a new EA account yes, but you would have to manually delete the Xbox account from the original EA account and link it to the new one. That isn't something you can accidentally do since you have to manually unlink the console in your EA profile online.
What it sounds like is, if other games' progress is still there, and it's just GW2 that is not, it would be a sync issue, or it was not actually linked, or the Gamertag was removed. There is no way to manually delete that progress because it is server-side and not stored on your console. That kind of rules out being delinked though since every other game still has progress.
There are Xbox steps you can try and see if it works but sadly if they do not there is no restore data option due to the age of the game.
I would log into your EA account online on EA.com go under connections and make sure everything is linked to the right accounts.

you can also delete your Gamertag from the console, and log back in as normal. When you launch any game after that it tries to sync all your progress.
If you have Game Pass Ultimate for example, you can do a cloud streaming from PC which will also sync your saves.
The last steps would be to log into another console with that Gamertag, download the game from your library and sync saves. Its all cloud saves so you cant really lose content if you swap consoles for testing.
I might have figured out my problem hopefully. While exploring a bit myself on solutions, I decided to check the other EA account I thought I had created accidentally. From what I found, it turns out that that EA account was actually the one I intended to change the email of and link my Xbox to, or for that matter, was already linked to (it was created in 2016, the EA account my Xbox account is currently linked to was created in 2022 the accidental one). With that logic in mind, I tried to unlink the Xbox account from the current EA account, but it won't let me till March of 2024. Even though the answer is probably no, is there any way I can contact EA to help unlink these accounts? Could I potentially merge these accounts instead?
