Xbox: Rampant cheating
1: Is there another, or more effective, method of reporting cheaters than to look up their gamercard from the player list, and reporting them to XBL? 2: Why are we seeing a clear increase in cheatin...
Auto fires devices are not readily available. Those are the devices where you have to open up and manually rework the internals. I don't see how that's readily available, you have to go to relatively great lengths to have an auto fire controller.
Im on xbox in west servers and I can't tell the difference between a player with and without auto fire. I literally treat everyone the same and they all die the same. I have not met a person whom I've noticed with a distinct advantage using a constant rate of fire, assuming the use of an "auto fire device," vs a player who is jump shooting, which you can use by changing the settings in-console and is CURRENTLY at your disposable if you choose to do so. But I have met people who can jump and shoot whom picks and chooses when they fire (not just constantly firing, but whose shots when shot are accurate). These are the people that give me trouble.
If you choose to not jump n shoot, then live with the consequences of being an easier target. And that's the reality. I disagree with the use of auto fire but it's such a minor advantage, in my opinion, because the use of jump shooting , which doesn't require any extra hardware, is much more advantageous. And I'll repeat that this is currently at your disposable.

I just had a response typed up on my phone and when I went to edit a mistake, the entire response turned black and I couldn't post it. I have a buddy I was about to game with and I've just turned off my game so I could get my laptop and retype this.... forgive me, if I seem irritated.
First of all, I'm surprised to see @EA_David liking a post that implies such a condescending nature/tone/inflection. These continual condescending posts are the reason many of us are becoming less present in this forum.
"They all die the same" ... wow... really? "I have not met a person whom I've noticed with a distinct advantage using a constant rate of fire, assuming the use of an "auto fire device" Right then, when I read that part, I pictured you looking down from your throne. Maybe you don't intend to come off that way but have you not seen the countless videos I've posted with ROF varying, hit detection not working, abilities failing, etc? To understand my frustration think about how it feels to go through footage EVERY morning and find critical TECHNICAL issues with the game, edit the footage, upload it, post it here (to be IGNORED by staff) and then someone come on here (such as yourself) and insinuate the issues don't exist?
Wow..... I spend a lot of time trying to help improve this game (a lot less time these days)........... at some point, it makes a person like me not care about being a part of a forum like this (because despite the physical proof/video of these things happening, nothing changes). I'm guessing you've missed some of that footage? If not, why act like these issues don't exist? Just because you don't witness something happening on your side of the TV doesn't mean it's not happening to the rest of us.
I think you probably have a ping of something ridiculous ... like 30 or less (20 or less, if I'm betting). I ping 55 - 65 on East and West servers (respectively). When I play on European and South American hosts, I ping 125 - 220. When I play on those hosts, these issues are present at a much higher rate than on American servers. Additionally, I've been gaming on a 12 year old TV that I never switched to game mode (just replaced the TV and found out it had a game mode the last day I owned it)..... point is..... many factors can add to the delayed inputs that might or might not be the fault of the server but to sit in ONE server only and ping like a God to it and then insinuate the ROF problem doesn't exist and that you obliterate all foes..... just... wow.
You use an Elite remote that you seem to think nobody else wants to own? Do you really think everyone on an Xbox wouldn't want an elite controller? Perhaps not everyone can afford an incredible internet connection, a $250 remote control, the best OLED TV or competitive gaming monitor, the newest cables, the best routers, the elite machines, etc.... you're talking THOUSANDS of dollars in hardware not counting the price of an optimal internet connection monthly. People would LOVE to game like a professional such as yourself but not everyone has DISPOSABLE income. I hope that makes sense.
I'd like you to try out a few other servers (not your 20-30 ping West server) .... hop on some foreign servers with the highest ping you can find.... and see if these issues don't exist for you. If not, consider yourself lucky but don't imply that we're lying?
@spIash_damage so I didn't mention anything about hit detection, over the top animations causing lag and abilities not working. I know those exist, and I'm certainly not denying it. My whole reply was strictly about auto fire controllers, nothing else. As far as auto fire is concerned (not scripted auto aim), merely mentioned th vast it's not a big advantage. The tone im getting from this forum is that it's a big deal to deal with, which it is not. Learn to jump and shoot, and this auto fire advantage that you guys are experienced becomes nil.
I'll also address some points you used as a result but that didn't even bring up.
Input delay - I play on a regular 43 inch 1080p flat screen that i had for years. Not a special 1ms gaming monitors.
Elite xbox controller - I bought a used one from offerup for 80 bucks which is 20 more than a new regular controller.
Ping - I have good internet, I have 20 ping. My xbox is connected wirelessly to the default modem they gave me. I live in California and I pay 50 bucks per month. This is the second lowest internet package they had. I know about lag and how it affects games. I use to play on 56k on CS back in the day when everyone else had DSL. I know how it correlates with hit detection, delay or deny abilities and how it can decrease the quality of play. I've played a few times in south America serves and I get about 140-200 ping. I played with a friend and someone who thought I was only good because im in my local servers and he was from south America. I won't tell you the results cuz you might think im yelling down from my throne
My throne - im really competitive, but I'm not rich, therefore I don't have all the professional stuff you think I have. I have a long history of playing competitive call of duty. I use to sign up to tournaments online with a few if my friends for money. I use to 1 on 1 any and all people who talked *. But I stopped playing cod, because I got married lol and couldn't just spend hours playing cod. My compromise was to stop playing videos as often and play something I can enjoy with my wife, Enter pvz. It's easy enough for her to play and we enjoy playing it together. If you seen any of my videos, my wife is usually playing with me. Anyways, having said all that, I won't deny that I have a certain confidence that can seem condescending. It's a coincidence that let's me believe I can win any 1on1. So I apologize if it has a negative tone.
Conclusion - the only reason I picked out RoF, as I see people site it in the context of using an auto fire device, and NOT attributed to lag, is because it's something that is relatively easy to overcome. RoF with using a modded auto fire device is a non problem in my opinion. I did NOT deny that the other technical problems exist, because they do and you don't have to show me on any videos or convince me otherwise. Don't worry, I too, with my God like internet experience these issues.
Lastly if anyone needs help with wanting to learn certain aspects of this game that I can teach, I'm more than willing to make a video in it. Or how to deal with certain characters or abilities, I'll bs on to make a video in that too. Obviously if I don't know then I won't volunteer but if I do, then I'll be willing.
@mikepal19 I’m a nice person and would love to chat on the mic.
I am typing on my phone again so sometimes I don’t type out everything.
You mentioning (the other day) about your Elite remote and good internet and that is why I brought it up today. I actually had plans to write an article and give you credit for opening my eyes. The way you broke things down the other day wasn’t rude so I was able to hear you from a new perspective regarding higher priced controllers.
I’ve since bought and returned a Nacon and Scuff but can see the benefit in some aspects of these new controllers. I’m currently waiting for a custom Beaver Battle controller to arrive. I’m not here to say don’t use it, if it’s available but my take is don’t use ALL the advantages you can and act like a) we don’t know what we’re saying/these issues aren’t occurring b) you’re better than everyone else when it’s not a level playing field.
These points of view I’m stating are my own and I don’t technically have a right to these opinions, in some people’s eyes and I’m aware of that. I’m not trying to be offensive and especially not hurt anyone’s feelings but I think the way you came across is that you’re better than everyone else and we don’t know what we’re talking about; why not just buy a $250 controller and bunny hop like everyone else....... does that make sense (that I heard you that way)...? I know others did too and I don’t think you’re intentions were such. If so, I digress.
At the end of the day, I don’t blame you for having good internet and it’s not my fault we can’t buy it here. I DREAM of pinging less than 40 on any server and have NEVER experienced that zero ping feeling aside from LAN tournaments of past. Speaking of that, I come from a pretty thorough background of competitive shooters and was a big part of the Unreal Tournament series on console. That said, it’s all the more reason to NOT dismiss a fellow gamer, much less an entire forum, when we say lag inputs and high pings cause horrendous issues.
As for mods, I personally had no clue how bad it was but saw for myself today the reason I often die from certain characters. If I had uber internet, I could avoid dying when people start firing at me with mods/scripts and my connection delays me .25 to .5 seconds ... that’s enough time for someone to drain enough of my health (with rapid fire) that I can’t do anything to counter it or even retreat.
The throne comment was to save me typing out a million words to explain that you’re coming off condescending to many people (some of whom asked me to make a post) and I should’ve went ahead and typed out a more thorough reply. I tried to preface my post by letting you know about the forum deleting my initial reply but you didn’t know it took me 15 - 20 minutes to compose said wasted reply.
Happy to continue this in private or on a mic, if you’d like? Super happy nice people here!
EDIT: ongoing phone revenge. 😡

I was just in a server with a buddy who showed me scripting in action. I won't say the name out of respect but the rate of fire was ridiculous. I also saw a screenshare of auto aim being used (I couldn't see through my TV down his sights so he sent me a picture of the crosshairs turning red far outside of the normal reticle on a character that doesn't have the standard crosshair present in the picture)....Auto Aim as in.... not like a true God hack the way we all think of it but a superior version of Aim Assist. I can verify that I've seen these THIS MORNING with my own eyes. To my understanding, the scripting software is programmed via USB/wireless connection and the effect occurs between the remote control and the PS4/Xbox and has nothing to do with the hardware of the paddle itself.
I'm well aware of how I sound like I'm rambling about something I don't know about... and that's because I don't own the devices myself but have seen them in action. This Auto Aim is real.... ROF is real.
EDIT: Typo
I was going to say, I'm pretty sure we had rapid fire controllers at least as far back as the SNES and Genesis if not earlier. Back then they were just convenience items or when you wanted to mess with a friend since all games were local at the time. In a competitive online game like this, it can make a huge difference, much less using scripts to go even further.
I just did a Google search for PS4 turbo fire controllers and found them pretty much instantly for as low as 25 bucks and up and at least 20 different models on Amazon. Not difficult to find them at all.
