I'm back from winter vacation and finally build a team that works well together and follow the strategy below and we kicked crazy Yeti King as* very smoothly in one attempt.
Hopefully, that tips will help new players who haven't beat the Yeti King yet. Use microphone to communicate with your friend or random. Once you guys work in harmony, you will beat the Yeti with ease (even at crazy level). Good luck.
this Boss Hunt is really frustrating...
i play GW2 since October 2016, so this is the 3rd? 4th or 5th (maybe more?) time i played this Boss Hunt
maybe i had a lot of bad luck, this is the only Boss Hunt where i got none of the hats... ZERO
too many newbies (under Level 100), who don't know how to play this Boss Hunt.... people who play Chomper or Rosies... people who leave the game and so on
countless attempts in all these months and i still don't have any of these 6 hats, it's unbelievable and really frustrating 😕
I don't understand why I constantly see people playing brand new characters in this mode. No customizations whatsoever. I realize that you can have the default appearance on a fully leveled character, but 99.9 times out of 100 that is not the case. I constantly see people jump in trying to play a brand new Frost Rose, or Yeti Chomper. When the game starts, it becomes clear they have no idea what they are doing, both in terms of how the Boss-Hunt works and in terms of how to effectively use their character. The mode is already hard enough and there is a heavy luck element involved, as pointed out by other people in this thread. I wish there was an ELO or similar system that would match people based on their game experience or previous boss-hunt success, or something.
When I see a new player, Rose, or Chomper I leave immediately.
Don't be so quick to dismiss certain characters like yeti chomper until you can check the levels. One of my playing buddies, a max rank high skill player, spent much of the weekend playing yeti chomper successfully on normal and hard. I asked if a lot of people left his lobby when they saw his character and he said yes. Their loss. Crazy has been beat with multiple yeti chompers on more than one occasion.
