Game Feedback

I’ve been looking at gameplay of replanted before buying the game myself and it looks great so far! however, there has been some small imperfections i’ve noticed in terms of the graphics and audio that i’d like to see get adressed soon along with other feedback:

  • Peashooters don’t make the woosh sound they make when they shoot a pea unlike the original game
  • Speaking of Peashooters, i feel their animation is a big janky at times? Sometimes their heads have the same bouncyness like they do in the pc / console version, however here their head loses their bouncyness after a while and looks very stiff until they shoot a pea again. Speaking of which, when they shot a pea, the animation on their head seems to snap backwards sometimes and overall isn’t as fluid as the original game
  • Sound effects for coneheads and football zombies getting hit are missing
  • Puff-Shroom makes no sound at all when shooting
  • Sound effects like Fume-Shroom and Puff-Shroom shooting, conehead and buckethead impact sounds, the Gargantuar’s death sound and the sound of zombies’ heads popping off (i’m probably forgetting many more here?) not being pitch shifted at slight random intervals like the original game
  • I’ve always had issues with the zombies’ corpses upon death. In the original game, they stay on the ground for a little bit before smoothly disappearing via a fading effect. However, here they inmediatedly poof out of existence upon the end of their death animation, which is just very jarring in my opinion. I’d also love for things like sun and dropped items like coins to fade out before disappearing like in the original game just so the game looks nicer overall
  • Squash’s eyes overlap over its eyebrows upon squashing a zombie, when its eyes are always meant to be underneath its eyebrows
  • Speaking of Squash, maybe make its pupils a bit larger?
  • Wall-Nut always has a twitching eye during Wall-Nut Bowling when it’s never had that before
  • Maybe add a toggle to disable the alternate audio in rip mode?
  • Make the imitated versions of plants brighter like they were in the original game
  • Implement the assets of either sides in vs mode where they are holding the controller of the respective player that selected them (was this left unused on accident?)
  • Fix the victory animations between both sides to make them more fluent and more akin to the original console version of vs mode, since the ones we have currently are way too fast and sudden
  • Remove the light post in front of dr zomboss during his boss fight
  • The animation of the pole vaulting zombie looks weirdly offcenter from when the pole vaulting animation ends to when it starts walking again
  • The animation on Cherry Bomb is way too fast and ends way before the plant properly explodes
  • Maybe Squash could linger in the air for a just a tiny bit longer before falling down? it’s like this in the original game (just don’t make it last too long to the point it feels too delayed)
  • Try and fix the alignment on Repeater’s eyebrows and leaves? they seem a bit off for the time being
  • New content probably won’t be added to the game and that’s a big shame, but all i could wish for are the extra versions of last stand included in the mobile version of pvz (day, night, fog, roof and endless) since they were really neat additions and probably wouldn’t be too hard to implement

These are just the issues i’ve seen and, since i’ve only been noting them down from footage of the game i’ve seen since i don’t have the game yet (but intend on getting it soon), many more small visual bugs like this could still linger in there. I’d be very happy for my feedback to make it into my final game and i’m glad to help point out really small things only i would notice and get bothered by
