Pogo Llama: Hello Pogo Clement! It’s really great to see you here in the Pogo studios and I’m really excited to talk about your latest game, Pogo Bowl HD!Pogo Clement: Hi Llama, long time! I’m glad to see you again as that means I have something exciting to share!
Pogo Llama: This is truly a fan favorite game here on Pogo and I want to know everything about it! Let’s begin with some of the new additions to Pogo Bowl HD. Are there some new additions to the game you wouldn’t mind sharing?
Pogo Clement: Basically we’re keeping the same game – format, rules, and scoring, but we did add some spice to the game. We added an Intermission between Frames 5 and 6 exclusively for Club Pogo members so they can play a mini-game to knock down as many pins as they can within a time limit. Club Pogo members can optionally choose to host or join a game without the Intermission so they can focus on the competition part.
Pogo Llama: How does a player rank up in Pogo Bowl HD?
Pogo Clement: We also added the concept of “Bowl Points”, which is the representation of Rank Points. You can collect Bowl Points by knocking down pins during normal games or Intermission, knocking down silver/gold pins, or winning a Strike It Rich.
Pogo Llama: What is “Strike It Rich?”
Pogo Clement: In each game, there’s a pool of Bowl Points that accumulates and there’s a cap on it. If the game has 4 or more players and you’re the only one in the game scoring a Strike, you’ll be able to claim all the Bowl Points in the pool.
Pogo Llama: The art in this game really brings me back. Could you please talk about the art direction for Pogo Bowl HD?
Pogo Clement: In the U.S., the 1940s through 1970s are considered “the golden age of bowling.” A sense of nostalgia for this era continues today. I’m sure we can relate our own experiences of bowling in our younger years to the aesthetics of this era, so that’s why we adopted this vintage, retro aesthetic.
Pogo Llama: Will players see the beloved turkeys and elf pins during the holiday season?
Pogo Clement: It’s still some time before the holiday seasons, but we’re planning to keep our traditions of having turkeys and elves joining the parties. On top of that, we’re planning to add more in the future. I can’t share the details now. When the time is right, I’ll make sure you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned!
Pogo Llama: Oh! I met a few new Pogo characters in Pogo Bowl HD! I believe their names are Roberto and Trish. How will they help us out in our games?
Pogo Clement: I’m sure a lot of our players have played Pogo Bowl before so they already know the game. With that said, we know there will be new players, along with some who might want a refresher on the controls. So we have Roberto and Trish as the coaches teaching you the ropes in Pogo Bowl HD. We also added another control scheme that caters for players who prefer simple clicks or taps to aim instead of dragging the mouse. That’s where Roberto and Trish can walk you through. You’ll join their class automatically when you first play. If you ever need a refresher lesson, you can find them in the main menu.
Pogo Llama: Are players able to set the speed at which the game is played?
Pogo Clement: Players can choose to host or join a game running at Casual, Normal, or Fast speed. Go for Casual if you prefer to have more time to craft your perfect throw, or Fast if you prefer to play fast paced games.
Pogo Llama: Are players able to play with friends?
Pogo Clement: As long as you have a Pogo account, you’ll be able to play with other players. So guest players, please register your free Pogo account and join us in the alley!
Pogo Llama: Now be honest, how many perfect games have you bowled?
Pogo Clement: No luck yet, I’m still trying to get one. I’m sure there are many bowling gurus within our community and I look forward to seeing them showing off theirs!
Pogo Llama: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our fellow Pogo community about Pogo Bowl HD?
Pogo Clement: I’m excited to see this Pogo classic going out soon! We’ll be adding more features to this title soon so stay tuned!
Play Pogo Bowl!
