cant change options in canasta even if I go in a chat room and select a table. ???????? I hate the new canasta I am not renewing

As the thread you replied to was several years old and in regards to the previous version of Canasta, I broke off your post into a new thread to be worked out.
I think the issue here may be that you're selecting a quickplay option or a table already created. This means that the rules are already set when you sit down.
To host a table with specialized rules:
- From Canasta HD's main menu, select "Get Started" under Find a Friend
- Click on Create a Table
From there, the first page goes over whether you want it to be a private or public table, if you want it to be against robots or humans, or even adjusting AI difficulty.
At the top, you can select Game Settings to adjust things like the forfeit timer, Canastas required, etc.
