I believe your issue is simple overload; you have over a dozen webpages open at the same time, 10 other programs running and two browsers trying to run all at the same time.
This is not advisable while on a gaming site, you will definitely see lagging, missing icons and blank screens.
Try a simple clean of your cookies, cache and history. Restart your computer. Log back in only to Pogo and try playing again.
