Canasta HD - Rating goes down after winning games

okay tech people. You need to figure this out. It happens everyday, everytime I close and open the browser. It is not a compatibility issue. how many people have to complain before you fix this????

Hi i am having the same problem with canasta. ea had me clear cashe  when that didnt work they sent another link to try and clear NSC or something like that. i couldnt find the link on my computer. so they sent me here to this forum.  when i leave the game  i write down my rating...so the other night it was 1022 in the morning when i went to play it was 983. the numbers are always different. They are always lower. sometimes when i play in the morning log out they go back and play in afternoon numbers are different. its very frustrating

im the only one who plays, no one has my password. 

Exactly.!  My rating just before I shut down was 1039 and now is1016. So I lost 23 pts while sleeping. I empty my cache frequently, also lose points if I have the audacity to play another game and then return 3 or 4 hours later, or if my more highly rated player "vacates" when losing. This is not a new problem, just more people are realizing it. Took a while for me too to notice!

To help us track down what's going on, please share the following information.

• Your Pogo Compatibility Tool system information. This will help rule out any technical issues when sent to the Pogo team.
• Date of the last rated game you played
• Your and your opponent's ratings before the game
• Your and your opponent's ratings after the game
• Your rating upon returning to the game in a new session

The rating information for both you and your opponent, as well as the time the game was played, would help so much in tracking this down.

@luvzwordsy1 - As for your avatar, everyone is assigned a random temporary avatar on Answers HQ when they start posting. In your case, you got an avatar from the game Anthem. You can change your avatar at any time via your Profile.

My most recent data as of 9/23/2020. Started the day at 1016 after ending the night before 1039. Won a game at 10:30 a.m. EDT. Rating became 1057. Quit Pogo, rejoined at 9 p.m. EDT, rate had become 1037. I estimate that over the past 3 months (90 days) I have lost over 250 rating points by having the audacity to do something other than playing Canasta on Pogo 24/7! And I pay for this privilege. The change to EA has caused many problems, including increasing rudeness and vulgarity, ridiculous Moderator (fake) monitoring and accusing me of vulgarity because I used a 4 letter word beginning with F (from)., anonymity, no real chat etc etc etc. Probably won't renew. Bridge is gone, canasta is ridiculous, and I leave every day angry. When the virus subsides, I'm gone. $39 to be cheated. No thanks.

Did you manage to get your opponent's rating before and after? That can help a lot in determining how much is gained or lost upon winning.

Additionally, do you remember what screen you exit Canasta on at the end of the day? For example, are you still in the table after the game, or on the main menu, or on the table select?

OK, here' s the news this a.m.  Last game last night was lost (my rating 975). Computer off at midnight EDT. Computer on today at 9 a.m. EDT My rating was 957.  I have played 5 games, won one. In 2 of the other 4,  my opponent left, was replaced by a robot, and despite winning against the robot, went from 995 rating to 959.Then lost the next two games. In the first of those last two, my opponent got 4 red 3s twice in the first two hands. In my last game, no appearance of 4 red 3s, but my opponent collected 17 red 3s in 6 rounds winning 5560-4330. To add to that, the moderator accused me of swearing-- the word was accumulated. Pogo canasta is a joke. In the real world, 4 red 3s occur once or twice in a lifetime of games, surely not with the frequency here. Speaking of jokes, ranking by red 3s is also  jok. Ratings should be determined solely by wins/losses. If players leave, they should lose pts and the remaining player gain something for the inconvenience. Skip the robot replacement. You do a million surveys, ask canasta players how they feel. Used to be fun, now just annoying. I believe there will be a major departure from Pogo when the virus subsides. I will not submit any more info. After 3 months, it's gotten worse, not better.

In general, I'm still at the table after the game, win or lose, then leave table, end up at the screen of quick play etc, then click pogo home and then shut down. In my opinion, the program needs a do-over. Drop rankings, eliminate the default to robot when someone leaves etc. Way too many onconsistencies in what happens at the end of a game, end of a session, end of a game.

this is a follow up to my ratings that drop everyday. I checked compatibility and all are okay. I enter the option play rated game. Last night I won my last game, left after the game before the timer counts down. rating=1055 This morning turn on computer, rating now=1034. I play rated game and win rating now 1052. Leave site, return an hour later rating dropped to 1036. Played a rated game and lost, rating=1013. played rated game and won rating up to 1028. I cleaned cache and cookies and refreshed without leaving and my rating dropped all by itself without any game play to 989! PLEASE HELP!
