Hashes are coming back

A couple months ago or so, the hashes were wiping out a ton of chat, including almost everything certain reasonable players said.  Then, you all fixed something and we could chat pretty normally for a good while.  Now, we're starting to have more hashes again, and, again, there seems to be no rhyme or reason.  Some common curse words go thru just fine but other things are just baffling.  Names of some players which are not odd get hashed.  Earlier, I was in Merge Academy explaining to someone how you could merge pink gems together and wound up with this:

you merge them as you get them; just before you have enough to #### ### ### have a 4, a 3, a 2, and a 1

I'm not exactly sure what I tried to say, but I'm sure the first word was "merge" and the last was "you".  It's especially odd that it hashed out "merge" while we're playing Merge Academy.  I tried again by typing "enough to  m e r g e   s o  y o u" and that became "enough to m e # # ## # o u".  I have no idea why it would hash out words like that.  Later, I was mentioning that to play pogo on an ipad, you want to open Safari and go to pogo.com.  Would you believe it hashed out "pogo.com"?

Please fix this again before it gets to the point we can hardly say anything.  It's tedious restating the same thing over and over, just to get it past the hashes...  Thanks!

Hello and thanks for reaching out 🙂

I double checked a few chats in various games today and did not see any hashtag issues as of yet. This could have been a minor blip in chat. You may want to try taking the "you" out when using the word Merge in a sentence to see if that helps.

With "pogo.com" being hashed out this is part of Pogo’s chat and email systems automatically blocking anything that looks like a website link, including phrases with “http://” or “www.” are flagged as a security measure to prevent unsafe links, scams, and spam from being shared. Even if you’re not trying to send a real link, the system may still block it because it matches the pattern of a website address.

These filters are designed to prevent:

    • Phishing attempts — fake login pages or scam sites
    • Malware links — URLs that could download harmful files
    • Spam — automated messages promoting external sites
    • Social engineering — attempts to lure users off-platform

You are so very kind to take the time to help a fellow player, your dedication means a lot for our community and thank you again for reaching out!

    Take Care and Happy Merging!
