Hello! You are correct "rebooting will not solve this issue". If you just reported today Sunday June 21, 2026 to your antivirus provider, a false-positive reviews typically take 24–72 hours (sometimes longer) for the antivirus vendor to: Receive the report, Analyze the file/URL, Confirm it’s a false positive, Update their detection database, Push the fix, depending on their workload.
So even though you did the right thing by reporting it, the fix won’t show up immediately. The block will likely still be there for a bit until the antivirus vendor completes their review and updates their data bases.
Don't see a fix within 4-7 business days, follow up with your antivirus provider to determine the outcome and delay.
🚫 What Pogo (or Any Company) Cannot Do with Security Programs
- They cannot directly remove the warning from Norton, Avast, AVG, or other security programs.
- They cannot force a security program to trust their website or files.
- They cannot change or adjust your security program’s settings on your device.
- Only the antivirus vendor can update their detection rules or remove a false alarm.
- Antivirus programs are controlled by the security company, not by Pogo.
- Pogo cannot change or alter your antivirus settings, and it cannot whitelist files or URLs on your behalf.
False positives like this will likely happen more often in the future. Modern security programs are using increasingly aggressive AI-driven pattern detection, and sometimes that means safe files get mistaken for threats. Because of this shift, you can expect to see more of these warnings over time.
Whenever it happens, the best thing to do is report it to the antivirus company immediately so they can review the detection and correct the false positive on their end.
