In May I had just a couple of days that locked back up in the first week. For the remainder of the month it worked fine, until I went back a month to get caught up after I lost up to 9 stars a day in April. After I played the old puzzles The next day I opened just to come back and see it locked. All days stayed open until June 1st. I came into the game on the first did my daily like I do every day but went back to April to finish up the month. After finishing I left the game. June 2nd I come back into the game to do the daily and June 1st is locked again. So is the bug associated with going back and playing earlier months???? I have credit for playing all of the days for the daily this week also.
I also noticed this seemed to be the cause for a day relocking on me this month. I went back to play old puzzles I had unlocked but not completed for a badge and the next day I came back to find the previous day locked when I had played over 30 puzzles the previous day but from past months. I had a few days also relock in April and May as well but never noticed the connection about playing old puzzles until I was certain I had and found the day relocked this month. The most upsetting part for me is that I was really making it my goal to remember to go in and unlock everyday this year and up until this whole relocking disaster I had every single day unlocked. The first time a day relocked I thought I was going crazy because I was sure I hadn't missed it but thought maybe I had somehow forgotten to go in so I used a key to unlock it again and then of course found another relocked a few days later and discovered the forum thread and realized I wasn't actually any crazier than I'd ever been and have been hoping for the issue to be resolved and checking the forum thread and here for updates ever since. I definitely understand it seems to be a complicated issue but do hope the fix comes soon and that we definitely do get those days unlocked or receive keys to do so ourselves. And honestly it would be great and the easiest fix of all if they would just eliminate the locked days entirely because now that they have the weekly special a lot of people play everyday anyhow. Before the weekly special I actually went in everyday just to unlock and never actually played at all unless there was a badge. But the locking days thing always irritated me especially when the game was released with entire months before it's release locked. At any rate, I just thought it was finally time to add my input to this issue, which as anyone can see by my newbie status I never do but since this has been going on so long and I'm here checking for any updates regularly, I decided the unprecedented was called for. Now that I've aired my grievances, I'll just continue to check back and hope for some progress from pogo on this issue eventually being resolved along with the rest of you.
I sometimes play old puzzles for badges, but I don't think that really factors into this. I unlocked each day this week. The days on which I completed the daily puzzle (or any puzzle) stayed open. However, I wasn't able to finish Saturday, June 5; and when I went back in after midnight, Saturday had relocked. I wasn't playing any old puzzles today. I tried to do today's puzzle, but I didn't have time to finish it
Maybe it has to do with completing old puzzles but not the current day. I never do any on the current day, I only unlock them so I have them available for badges or if I just want to play another time. I go in everyday and do only the weekly special daily puzzle and usually my days have remained unlocked except a couple in April and a couple in May, literally just 2 each, April 21 & 27 and May 24 & 31 and then June 2nd. I only know for certain I played old puzzles on June 2nd but not any from that day and it relocked. The other days that may not have been the case but since I've only had very few relock, and I play rarely and when I do it is usually old puzzles for badges or just to complete some old months for stars, it seems that those few days I probably played some old puzzles but none for those specific days. Again, I do know the issue is obviously quite complicated because it seems it affects players differently but for me it does seem related to playing only old puzzles.

My husband does what you do and has had problems with the day remaining unlocked. In the beginning of May I started going in every day and doing the beginner and have not had them go back to locked again. I was always doing the daily but several times when I went in the next day after doing it it was locked again.

Thanks for checking again, everyone. That it's not currently working is to be expected as the planned fix has not gone live yet, but I just wanted to be sure nothing had changed with the new month in the meantime.
I don't yet have a date to provide but am keeping an eye on this internally to see when that becomes concrete, thanks again.
- @EA_Mako Please don't consider the matter to be closed until arrangements have been made to unlock all of the days affected by the bug and to reimburse people for keys that they used to unlock days before they realized that it was a bug. Thank you.
They should give us keys for all days during the problem. I quit wasting my time going in to see if days are unlocked and have not done a puzzle each day. When it is fixed, I will have months of days not open. I should be given enough keys to open them.
Have you made any provision for unlocking days that were affected by the bug? Or for reimbursing users for keys that they used to unlock days before they knew of the bug. If the answer to either of these questions is "no", then the matter is NOT closed and you have no business marking this issue as resolved.

is the team also aware of the fact that stars earned for playing the daily special are reset?
I did play the weekly a few hours ago (17th June) and my star count went up to 10/45 for the theme - which in itself is odd since I have played all daily specials this month - just now I logged back on to play the puzzle for 18th June and I am back to 7/45 stars. It would be nice to know if this problem will also be solved. Thank you. OK, EA. With the fix in place, the days in Pogo Daily Sudoku are staying unlocked when players make daily visits to the game, regardless of whether they play any puzzles. Thank you and well done.
Now that the technical part of the issue is handled, how about making with some customer service and making arrangements for players to be able to get to those days which were affected by the bug? April 20 to June 14, if I remember the dates correctly.
If you do nothing, the message you send is, "EA doesn't give a rat's rump about customer service." If you would prefer for people to get a different impression, then it would behoove you to do something about the glitch-affected days.
It seems to me that the simplest solution would be to simply grant everyone enough keys to unlock all of the affected days. That would make things right for everyone, regardless of whether they used keys to unlock days before they realized it was a glitch. And as for players who played at least one puzzle a day in that time span and were fortunate enough to have the days stay unlocked, they get a bonus for their diligence. Or maybe they could be given the option to redeem the keys for gems?
That last is just a thought; I figure that would be more complicated. But simply granting enough to keys to unlock the affected days would square things up for everyone. More than that, it would be the right thing to do and would give EA a chance to come off as attentive service providers rather than uncaring techies.

This issue is not resolved. What has been done to make up for days having been re-locked due to the glitch? C'mon, EA, let's see some customer service here! Thank you.

Okay, EA chowderheads, I've tried being nice and patient about the question of making right the glitch-locked days.
What does it take to get you guys to act, or at least answer? Must I escalate to meanness and public shaming?
I don't think it's a bug. It took away all my days that were unlocked but not played and just locked them up again. I am so mad.
Thanks, I hadn't noticed they can stay unlocked now, since i started playing a puzzle every day. And hell yes, I want keys for all the ones it locked up again, or just unlock they all retrospectively.
Just want to say for the record that EA_Illium did respond to me via private message several days ago. I wasn't until today that I noticed the new message in my inbox.
His remedy, however, doesn't go nearly far enough, and there are plenty of players other than me who rightfully want to be made good for the days that were locked by the glitch.
I still think that the most elegant solution is to give everyone enough keys to unlock all the days. Don't tell me its impossible; let's see what can be done about making it possible. Thank you.

I definitely think that we should be given keys to make up for all the days that were locked while they were
trying to figure out what the problem was. They are supposed to be the experts but it sure took them a LONG
time to figure out what was wrong and correct it. But they are NOT finished. We need keys to open all the
days during their investigation. I count 38 days that my days were locked after I unlocked them.
Just OPEN all the days.
So, I contacted support through chat earlier to see if they would do anything about the few days I had relock on me. I had very few and requested keys for them, a total of 5, and they told me it was beyond their limitations to do anything about it. I asked if they could give me 15 gems to buy the keys myself, which amounts to $1.50 and again was told no because it is beyond their limitations. I find this absolutely unacceptable for an issue that was due to their programming and beyond any of our control. But clearly, they are completely unwilling to do anything further and we are all just supposed to give them more money to unlock days we already invested our time to unlock in the first place. Absolutely absurd!
You're still not done with this issue. What does it take to get EA to act? Public shaming?
Then to make matters worse....July is Sudoku month!!!!! Let's hope this works I'm really disappointed that they have compensated us for the "locked" days as it is. I say just get rid of the "locked" days all together. PROBLEM SOLVED.

seeing how POGO doesn't want to compensate for the days relocked and keys used, maybe we should think about NOT RENEWING our SUBSCRIPTION to POGO
