Sluggish game play

For a long time now, the games Bejeweled Stars, Mahjong Sanctuary, Jet Set Solitaire and Sweet Tooth Town have been extremely sluggish. Seldom play them as it is very frustrating. Have been a POGO member for some time now and feel I should be able to play and enjoy all games. Would appreciate some input as to why I'm having this problem.
