Unfortunately, there is no secret that I know of, and you are correct in saying the game only rewards you around 20 per game, at times for the harder levels an award of 50 or 75.
I was disappointed to see the pop-up bonus game of First Try, spins nor dailies, which offer higher rewards, did not count towards the badge. However, a Pogo Moderator named Mod_Kyra reported the specific pop-up game of "House of Cards" worked for her.
