Hello! Sorry to hear your games keep crashing, there are a few reasons this could be happening. Stay with me on this because this will help with understanding from a broader perspective 🙂
I first must mention that every game on Pogo is designed differently and Pogo is a browser-based gaming site that relies heavily on our devices to be updated, free of old cookies and cache (each game leaves this separately) and most importantly it needs room to move and for our devices to be configured for gaming.
Multiple major updates have converged at once:
- Windows 10 End of Life (October 14, 2025) - Microsoft officially ended support for Windows 10, forcing millions of users to upgrade to Windows 11, which has different hardware requirements and security features.
- Browser Updates - Chrome/Edge version 141 was released in October 2025 with significant changes to rendering engines, security features, and video handling, including fixes for critical vulnerabilities (like CVE-2025-11206 affecting video processing).
- Apple iOS/iPadOS Updates - iOS 18.7.2 and iPadOS 18.7.2 were just released (November 5, 2025) with 30 security fixes affecting WebKit, Safari, and other components crucial for web-based games.
- All of us will need to check for updates for a bit, rather you are using Apple or Windows. After major updates like this- patches are soon to follow aka more updates on the horizon. These updates also include graphics driver improvements, which are crucial for optimal gaming performance
Quick Fixes and Checks:
For iPad/iPhone Users:
- Update to the latest iOS/iPadOS version (18.7.2) which was just released
- Enable Reduce Motion in Settings → Accessibility → Motion
- Close all other apps/websites before playing
- Try clearing browser cache and cookies
- Restart your device
For Windows Users:
- If you updated to Windows 11, ensure all drivers are updated
- If staying on Windows 10, be aware Microsoft support ended October 14, 2025 (expect problems pogo cannot control)
- Update your browser to the latest version (Chrome/Edge 141+)
- Disable Hardware Acceleration
- Try clearing browser cache and cookies
- Restart your device
Generally, when a game Crashes, Freezes, Stalls or gets stuck this is a sign of:
- Memory issues - Your device may not have enough available RAM
- Graphics processing problems - Especially after driver or browser updates
- Cache/cookie conflicts - Old data conflicting with new game versions
- Connection instability - Intermittent internet can cause games to hang (see Slay the Lag Dragon)
- Resource competition - Too many apps or browser tabs running simultaneously
- Incompatible settings - Hardware acceleration or security settings blocking game functions (yes even for one specific game - cookies and cache are left individually per game)
I tried accessing Solitare Home Story before replying to you and it is working as designed. Please give these troubleshooting steps a try and let us know how it goes!
