Forum Discussion
Dear Community Team and Developers,
I want to provide crucial user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) feedback regarding the placement of the "Exit" or "Close" option on various pop-up offer windows.
The Problem: Confusing Exit Button Placement
The screenshots provided illustrate a clear inconsistency in how players exit different offer screens:
Screenshot 1 (Skyline Chained Offers): The return/exit button is a blue curved arrow located in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Screenshot 3 (Twirly Tower Offer): The close button is an "X" icon located in the top-right corner of the offer window.
This lack of standardization forces the player to visually search for the exit option every time a different type of offer pops up. This breaks user habits and adds unnecessary friction to the experience, which is particularly frustrating when trying to quickly dismiss an advertisement to resume core gameplay.
Proposed Solution: Standardize Placement
To create a smoother and more professional user experience, please standardize the placement of the close/exit function across all temporary pop-up windows:
Recommendation: Adopt the industry standard of using a clear "X" or "Close" icon and placing it consistently in the top-right corner of the window frame (as seen in the Twirly Tower offer).
Remove the bottom-left arrow on the offer screens, or ensure it is only used for a "back" function within a nested menu, not as a primary "close this window" function.
Consistency is key to good UI design. Standardizing the exit button placement will significantly improve the quality of life when interacting with offers.
Thank you for reviewing this critical UI flaw.
This is not a design flaw. It’s intentional. Many in games ad, and even video ads will move or obscure the mute or exit button. As for the ads, they are a resource hog and will often load faster than the Train Depot menu…smh
