My name is Princess lady in my game and ever since you rolled out the new update I have had all my omega. Buildings demanding a lot of waste facilities, and I am replacing them by getting rid of buildings cause I had no room and I still have my people from Omega buildings leaving all of the buildings just about !!!! They were fine before the rollout and had everything they needed and I have not upgraded them that many times…. I do not like this. It’s hard to get SIM coins as it is and I’m not gonna pay any more cash into this game until it is straightened out.!!!! I’ve been playing for 10 years up to now I’ve liked the game but it’s getting ridiculous now and not much fun anymore… I really want to see you pay attention to this matter. There are also other buildings that are demanding services too that they should not need and so I’m gonna run out of coins and I’m not gonna pay cash for coins. Thank you for your time and aren’t ion to this matter!!!!

You aren't alone – Technical advice from a fellow 10-year veteran
Princess Lady, I am the Mayor of 'USS Midway' (also 10 years in), and I am seeing the exact same thing in my 7.2M population city. Please stop deleting your buildings to make room for services—there is a hidden mechanic in this update that the game isn't explaining to us, and it’s draining your coins unnecessarily.
The 'Omega Trap' Explained: Before the update, a 'Green Zone' meant your building was safe. Now, it's about Capacity. Your Omega buildings have huge populations, and the basic Waste/Power plants simply don't have the 'numerical strength' to support them anymore, even if they are right next door.
Three things you can do right now to save your city without spending real cash:
- Check your 'Gifted' Inventory: Go to your Service menus (Waste, Power, etc.) and scroll all the way to the far right. EA 'gifted' many players high-capacity Level 8-10 buildings to help with this rollout. Look for icons with a blue crate. One of these gifted buildings can replace 5 or 10 of your small ones, saving you massive amounts of space.
- The 'Fix!' Shortcut: Open your City Report. Don't try to guess which building is broken. Click the red 'Fix!' button next to the service complaint. It will take you to the exact spot the game logic is failing.
- Don't Build for 'Now': If your happiness is low, your demand meter is lying to you. It only shows demand for the people currently in the city. As soon as you fix one thing and people move back in, the demand will spike again. You have to over-build your capacity to break the cycle.
To the Moderators: This is yet another 10-year veteran reporting the exact same logic errors. I have a documented timeline of my own 16,500 SimCash loss due to these errors. We need an official statement on when the capacity-math will be balanced for legacy cities.
