“Delete City” Button

Maybe I’m losing my mind, but is this button new?  (Settings/About). I just stumbled across it the other day and I have questions, perhaps questions that may warrant an update to one of the pinned posts.

Historically, we have been “stuck” with our cities with no way to delete and start fresh - but does this button solve that?  

Also, does a city’s deletion transfer to Facebook/Apple/However the game is saved?  What I mean by this, is if you delete a city that you have saved to Facebook, will Facebook know you deleted it and allow you then to save your “new” one? 

Perhaps I’m being over-optimistic, but it does seem like this could be the answer to an issue that I would have loved a solution for years ago, haha.  It’s too late for me to want it now, but if it is what I think it is, I’ll be glad to know that the option is available for those that it may be useful to.
