@BlackjackWidow Might want to remind everyone that this is a forum and not monitored by EA. Our heros & mods can offer a lot of help but tech support isn't in their bags of tricks.
Serious issues like this should result in a ticket being filled out & sent to the Zen desk. Also be nice to know what platform everyone is on...hope it worked out for everyone.

Excellent point, @cricket4103 - Although posting on the Support forum can help to see if it's just a problem for you (so players can help with troubleshooting), once it becomes apparent that it is some system-wide failure, a support ticket to SimCity BuildIt Support request will get to the devs directly. The absolute quickest way is to check EAHelp on Twitter, to see if they've made an announcement. That being said, the forum is also a great place to highlight & provide information about issues, particularly application bugs. The CMs can escalate & monitor directly with the dev team.
Since there were a few people who said their game started working again, I'm hoping lack of response = no more issue. I'm still wondering if anyone was playing on the Virgin Media network, since there was no official report about EA servers

Of course. We seem to have had an influx of new players (?) Or at least players new to the forum. Been seeing some frustrated mayors calling out EA when there is really no point. I do wonder what happened, though. Seems like such an odd occurrence.
