I noticed that many specialization objects have stopped increasing the population, which makes it difficult to perform tasks in a trivial way

I too had same problem but then discovered some of the items actually don’t boost in the regions. You need to find ones that do as certain items only increase population for where they are intended to be put.. it’s a hit and miss scenario
Each residential zone can only be boosted to a max of 100% by each specialisation. So if you have 4 parks with 25% boost each, adding more parks will not make a difference.
